An RPG that features a new story and a new adventure, the only difference with this game is, it takes place 10 years before Soras story, You will come across Three all new playable characters seen from the secret movie in Kingdom Hearts II and in Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix+.

A boy named Terra; the leader of the group, a boy named Ven, and girl named Aqua, these three are the just a few of the original Key-blade wielders, not much is known but they will face a difficult war ahead of them a fight against Master Xehanort.

Terra.

"One of the three soldiers, who were shown in the secret ending of KH2FM+. The man in the armor, who was known as "Lingering Spirit" You get to fight him as a secret boss in Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix+.

Ven.

A mysterious boy we don't know much about him, other than he looks strikingly like Roxas, is this coincidence r is there something more to it.

Aqua

She is the female Knight seen in the secret movie birth by sleep, she has blue hair and there is not much known about her.

Another Xehanort?

" The elderly person who is facing Terra, is Xehanort. The figure is drawn differently from the Xehanort that was shown in Kingdom Hearts II. Moreover because this game is based on the past of Kingdom Hearts, the age is contradicted. The mystery deepens.

Battle where new possibilities of a Keyblade is seen!?

"Though the battle system is still in the trial stage. It was recently announced that the gameplay will be close to that of the main series. Of course there will be a new battle system though. It also seems the battles will be different from Sora, due to having a whole new range of abilities."

It is also said to have a similar Scrolling attack shown in Chain of Memories.

An exhilarating feel from the previous series!!

It seems a new enemy from the past, that is not a heartless, or a nobody appears.

Dont expect to see this game anytime soon, more info is sure to come.

Where's all the freaking Disney characters? Nobody gives a damn about all that FF ****. :whatever:

Actually, I do. It looks so beautiful. Hmm... since all this won't be about Sora, I wonder what Disney characters we'll get to play as. Maybe King Mickey?

I've honestly never cared all taht much about the disney component, probably because the worlds were all these little areas. It was just an area most of the time, not exactly "omg I'm in the Lion King" or whatnot.

the best part about this game was the combat system. I really enjoyed it although I thought KH2 went abit overboard with it

New information on BbS...

As mentioned in previous interviews, the game is being developed in Osaka by the same team that developed Musashi Samurai Legend and Re: Chain of Memories. The project was born when, during the development of Kingdom Hearts II, the Osaka team requested to be involved if Nomura decided to make a "gaiden" (side-story) in the Kingdom Hearts series. "The project was for the PSP from the start of planning," Nomura noted.

There's been a bit of confusion as to how the game's multi scenario system will work. Here, Nomura clarified just a bit. "The game will have three scenarios, and you'll be able to play from which ever one you like. You'll even likely be able to stop mid way through and start a new scenario."

While there's no singly important scenario or main character, "the main point of the story is to answer, 'Ven, who are you?'" (Ven, who resembles Roxas, is one of the three main characters)

Also mentioned in previous interviews is that Birth by Sleep will consist entirely of Disney worlds (note all non Disney worlds still count as Disney). The game takes place in the past, years prior to the original Kingdom Hearts, and the worlds will be updated to reflect this. Nomura envisions having a young Hercules appear in the Hercules world, for instance. New Disney worlds will also appear, as will favorite characters like Donald and Goofy.

Gemaga also managed to sneak in a few bits on the game's battle system. It will, as previously hinted by Nomura, be an evolved version of the deck system that was used in Chain of Memories, where, prior to battle, you set up a card deck consisting of commands that are fed into your command menu. Also getting some hype from Nomura in past interviews was the game's character growth system; Gemaga wasn't able to get specifics, but they did say that Square Enix could make a full game based off this system alone!

He also mentions once these games have been resealed production should be starting on the real Kingdom Hearts III a direct continuation of Kingdom Hearts II.

PS3 anyone?

I've been waiting for a Kingdom Hearts for the PSP! I like the title.

I don't like that they're pushing this new concept that you must play every game on the portables to understand the main console games. It was ok with Chain of Memories, because it didn't take too long for me to understand what happened, but three games? And one on the cell phone? Jeez...

It's amazing how great the graphics look.

New trailer from TGS. Trailer for 358/2 is in front of it.

I love how dark this one feels. The beginning of that theme is just creepy.

wish i had a psp for this one. maybe it'll get a port to another console like chain of memories did.

Well, the Kingdom Hearts game on DS was kind of the straw that broke the camel's back for me to buy a DS. I can easily see that happening with the PSP when this nears a closer release. The franchise has me

^it has me too. luckily, i already have a ds (damned pokemon).

ps3, hopefully. the ps2 needs to go the way of the gamecube.

Yep, they got the newest Jak game coming out on the PS2 as well at the end of this year. I'd say the PS2 still has a good 2 years before Sony decides to yank support completely

i doubt two years...especially with the speculation of a ps3 price drop.

does the ps3 play ps2, 1 games?

The PS3 plays PS1 games no problem. But only the early version of the PS3 is able to play PS2 games I believe.

The PS2 will live on as long as the PSP does. When they release a PSP2 (which I dont think we will see within the next 2 years), I think thats when the PS2 will start to see its grave

No, the current PS3 only plays PS1 games. The last version that was sold that did ws the 80gb MGS4 bundle. Its availble through outside distributers on Amazon, but the price has been inflated due to it being a limited rare item.

The PS1 was still in production up until the year 2006, roughly eleven years on the market. So two more years for the PS2, an even higher selling system, is a very fair estimate.
