Why did this feel like an Apocalypse Now remake.

Kong is easily a 100', maybe even 125/150'. It's still hard to say exactly tho.
One things for sure for me, I don't think they'll be capturing this Kong. I think they will be lucky to just escape with their lives.
It does appears they will either try to capture/kill him in the beginning tho.

Who starts it? prolly the humans by just invading his territory. Kong perhaps tries to just warn them off through intimidation at first, but being human, they won't have any of it and they escalate it?

I can see sam jackson being behind trying to capture or kill kong for monetary gain and recognition, but it all goes south. My money is on SLJ being offed by kong before all is said and done.

Another thought, what if they capture a juvenile and that's what drives kong to attack them, lots of possibilities. It stands to reason they could be more than just one of him on the Island.

I think its going to be John Goodman's character thats going to try and do some shady **** with Kong and SLJ's character is only concerned with getting his men out of there alive.
