Kong: Skull Island - Part 1

I currently have 6 Kong movies (if you don't count Son of Kong as a Kong movie)

King Kong (1933)
King Kong Vs Godzilla (1962)
King Kong Escapes (1967)
King Kong (1976)
King Kong Lives (1986)
King Kong (2005)

I amend my statement.

Vision, there are many goddamn King Kong movies.

If Vision really is this serious with the way he is acting and what not, well then, that's just sad.

I'm pretty much going to bet that Godzilla is going to beat King Kong in the remake in 2020. I just hope it isn't like BvS where they shoehorn in other villains like let's say King Ghidorah and Mechagodzilla in a movie that's supposed to be about King Kong fighting Godzilla.

Actually it has been confirmed that the Godzilla sequel will have 3 monsters, The giant moth guardian Mothra, Rodan and the infamous three-headed dragon King Ghidorah.

No, it hasn't been confirmed per se that those three will be in the sequel, just that Legendary acquired the rights to use them from Toho.

Godzilla vs Kong vs Ghidorah: The Clash of Kings

Yup. a new an improved remake of Ghidorah, The Three headed monster

Considering that there is one more monster that Legendary picked up that wasn't announced, pretty certain that the announcement indicates that they are planning on using those three fairly soon.

Unless they still end up going with the Monster Island concept Gareth Edwards mentioned in an interview for G2 before he dropped out, I'd imagine only one or two of them would pop up in the sequel.

Or heck, since they're building this kaiju cinematic universe, maybe a cameo or a nod in Kong: Skull Island.

I know Godzilla 2 will feature Ghidorah, Rodan and Mothra but in 2020 we get the sequel with Kong.

Honestly, I don't feel anything for this movie right now. Kinda sucks.

The Kong they showed so far, despite being larger than Peter Jackson's Kong, doesn't appeal to me like the latter does. Maybe they are saving him for the movie. Hope that's the case. But at the moment, I have a feeling no Kong will beat Peter Jackson's Kong.

El Mayimbe just posted this, someone leaked the early design of King Kong for Skull Island

Well, it's hard to judge when we've only seen a few glimpses of him in the trailer. Not enough to judge how his character will be.

I feel the same way you do...

I think this looks awesome. Love the Apocalypse Now esque visuals.

I like that they are only hinting at Kong for now. The shot with the choppers and his feet in the distance is just... wow.

This movie will suck. I just feel it. I know you all don't want to hear this, but it is coming...

That's from DragonBall Z, man. Not Kong. That's Ozzaru-form Vegita.

Of course I'll take your word as fact, stranger on the Internet. :o

The teaser has a nice atmospheric suspense to it.

Also sometimes less is more. Do you really expect a teaser to blow its wad on a full reveal of Kong? He's teased throughout, which is what should be realistically expected from a teaser.

I'm glad we don't have a full Kong reveal yet. I loved that moment in Godzilla when we saw him in full for the first time. I'd rather Kong be revealed to me in full when I'm sitting in the theater with a bucket of popcorn in hand.

Totally agree with both of you on the teaser.
