Someone should say it reminds them of the 70s version to be different. :o

On second thought, it actually reminds me of japanese Kong. :o

I really dig it.

Having just seen a screening of the original 1933 on the big screen a few nights back, I have to say I like that it takes some cues from that original design.

At the very least I like that it skews away somewhat from just straight up being a silverback gorilla. They've said this is a juvinile but in general its a bit more slender like a Bonobo.

Dam to take it back to 90's hip hop He looks Dope!! lol

Someone posted this to the comment section of a Birth Movies Death Article. The director of the movie then screencapped it and tweeted an image of the conversation. Seems to be the look he was going for.

Hmmm. For a monsterish look, I will take it.

Is it just me or a lot of posts got deleted? And I am guessing SkullDevil isn't replying to me.

Yes, a bunch of posts were deleted. I suggest everyone spend their time discussing the movie instead of taking shots at other posters.

Thanks. Not that I was reading them all, but thought it was a moment of deja vu.

It's not a radical departure from what we got in King Kong 2005 imo

Maybe slightly more chimp-like.

Simply put, Kong looks like Kong. The big difference is the body.

2005 Kong is still the best looking. He's like Edward Norton Hulk. Not the current Hulk, but still the best looking one so for.

I am digging the new look, but going to need to see him in the movie to decide. My favorite take on the Hulk is the Avengers, followed by Ang Lee's. Norton's is the worse in terms of look imo.

Did anyone watch tonight's Collider Movie Talk with special guest Michael Rapaport? Rapaport ranted and raved about Kong and comic book movies for something like 10 minutes. I'd happily f***ing post it but there are too many f***ing "bad words" in the f***ing thing.

Agreed.

I didn't even know you had replied to me.

If it involved Visions, it was definitely one of the ones C.Lee deleted, otherwise I would have replied, bro.

The CGI in that film with Kong at least, holds up surprisingly well despite it being released over a decade ago.

Yeah. That movie is like Lord of the Rings to me. FX somehow holds up incredibly well.

Kong was basically the 00s version of the T-Rex from JP. The decade's CGI that we will look back at and say, "Well they could do it then, what is the excuse now".
