I think you mean indentured servant whom was far from being a slave. An indentured servant was given desired passage to a new country or home and, upon completion of his contract, sometimes received a lump sum payment such as a parcel of land and was free to farm or take up trade of his own.

A serf worked under a feudal contract. He was given protection and was allowed property for himself in return for work that he did for his feudal lord. It was possible for a serf to gain favor and rise to a higher class.

In contrast, an african american slave was not allowed to own any property, educate themself, start any enterprise, free themself from slavery and was promised nothing in return for the work he did.

I do not think it is fair to compare african american slaves to the white "slaves" of the medeival or industrial era. The last time there were white slaves comparable to the african american slaves was the ancient era of the roman empire and even then, there were ways allowed out of slavery for a white slave.

They never left the land because of the high prices from the feudal King...they perpetuated their poverty and never left the land. Their kids continued to cycle of poverty and so forth. In essence, they were not exactly the same but I never said that. They were not allowed to read and write in fear of an uprising. You are comparing the good side of feudal slavery to that of harsh slavery here in the US. Not every slave in this country was treated like dirt. A lot of slaves were allowed given their own home, taught how to read and write, and given many permissions to do many things...now I am not justifying slavery by any means because it is wrong. But to say feudalism and slavery were two totally different things is ridiculous. They were owned either by contract or a monetary transaction, not allowed to do many things, and work in harsh conditions in order to live. People that constantly bring up slavery get on my nerves. Sure it was horrible and a bad part of our history, but to bring it up in arguments to justify certain aspects of current racism is stupid. It didn't happen to them and it wasn't the current caucasian population's fault. The African American race has come a long way and should be proud of their accomplishments in a society that has been at odds with them. My point being that to bring up their ancestors situation would be as ridiculous as me bringing up how my ancestor was once a feudal slave...pointless and irrelevant.

Mm-no. We actually did demand, and we received, compensation from Swiss banks and international corporations that made blood money off us. In most cases, obviously, the victims were dead, and it was their families, who had made it to the States and not actually suffered in the camps, that got the money.

To this day, nobody raises a stink about this. Of course, this is all because of the Seven Jewish Bankers Who Control The World, but that's beside the point.

Go to Mexico and call someone there a racist name...see what happens...you would be a minority there after all. African Americans get offended when the n word is thrown out by a Caucasian, but whites shouldn't get mad when the situation is turned around? It is certainly not a proud remark or admirable word to call someone a "cracker" just like it's just as wrong to call someone the n word. What do you think would happen if a white rapper, came out and in every other line in his lyrics and in every tv appearance he yelled out the n word. No turn around the situation. It is ridiculous.
