I was reading something on Stanley Kubrick and read about how he praised The Dekalogue and got around to watching all of them. From the start I fell in love with his films; the first dekalogue is one of the saddest movies I've ever seen, and it kinda reminded me of The bicycle Thief(characterization of the father and son is great).

After that I picked up Three Colors Trilogy and was blown away. I think anyone who is interested in watching good psychological films ought to check his films out. I recently got A short film about love, a short film about killing and The double life of veronique; can't wait to watch these.

Anybody else seen any of his films? any impression?

His films have been on my "To Watch" -list for ages. Maybe someday I'll get around to watch 'em.

Well I am surprised myself quiet honestly. I didn't think people here were so oblivious to anything outside the USA. I mean most Hollywood films aren't even that good now adays with remakes of remakes and parodies of films that weren't that good to begin with. I recommend these films to anyone looking for more than just amusement.

Yepp. But we have people on these boards who will rather watch an American remake of a foreign film than the original, because they don't like to read when they watch a film.
