Finished USHIO & TORA with episodes 7-10. It's a cute little series from 1992-1993 that feels like a ripoff of INU YASHA until you realize that it predates it, at least the anime, by a few years. It is also much more "shonen" than Yasha is. It mixes comedy with a lot of blood splashing violence as a boy, empowered with a monster-killing spear, is forced to ally with a tiger-like demon he names Tora to fight baddies. He also has two girls seemingly competing for him. There is very little actual storyline aside for the rivalry between the two characters, and the last episode ends on a slight downer (although nowhere near as down as many other series end). However, be warned; getting a new copy may be hard as ADV seems not to want to print anymore, and the animation was an early 90's TV budget, so it really shows some age. But, I liked it.
