The Dark Knight ledger's joker will wear a mask?!

Not really a rumor. He's said in two different interview he can't wait to don the mask, or something of that nature. One said it very metaphorically, the other said it almost literally, with a little subtext.

However, what most of you don't know [as I grew up with an 'acting' family and most of my friends were 'actors' [read "Drama ****" by most]] is that a good majority of actors both large and small refer to whatever character they're going to portray as a mask. Except for maybe Johnny Depp. But thats' because he's literally crazy and turns into said character for up to 6 months after production has stopped on said movie.

Sounds like a metaphor as in getting into character is like donning a mask

Yeah, Rachel points to Bruce´s apparently unmasked face and says, "this... is your mask".

The Joker´s make up is kind of a mask, actually, only it´s a prosthetic one. I mean, it covers all his face, makes it look different.

It won't be the first time The Joker would wear a Mask. :woot:

Maybe Heath will have a mustache also. :cwink:

Joker will not wear a gottam mask . . . my avvy will

Yeah...that was ownage.

This is the reason why nobody from the cast and crew should probably never say anything at all between now and the release. I mean, if they didn't....I'd probably understand. I'd be pissed.....but threads like this would make me understand.

I think to a degree that mask quote was metaphorical, but it could mean a larger facial transformation than what some people may expect which could mean prosthetics or a complete physical change

Well, now I think he meant "mask" not literaly. Joker has his face as a mask and most likely Ledger meant make-up or figurative meaning os this word.

Exactly Cinemaman
Though I am a believer of him using the term "mask" to represent full face makeup with prosthetics.
Believing he was using the word as a metaphor, for the transformation of himself into another character, is reaching.

has anyone watched snakes on a plane??if u have,is it good

I don't think it's reaching at all . . . . plus when you do interviews like this, you kind of have an overall plan of what you're going to say . . . . he's used to term 'don a mask' 3 times already, but that doesn't mean an actual stupid mask . . . . think of the Joker as a character . . . . that's one helluva gig for an actor, and it's not far fetched to use the term 'mask' metaphorically when referring to such a transformation as he'll have to undergo when turning into Joker

we can't hear a tone from words ^

No he splits up his words. In children of men he says,'its the greatest mystery! Why.....are there no.....young people in the world'.

lol :yay:

hahaha, so true. Anytime you watch an interview with him, you'll always see bits of the character slip out from whatever movies he's just finished making.
