Horror Lee Cronin’s The Mummy

Interesting

This is for New Line/WB and not Universal
That was in the Mummy’s contract. He saw that **** Universal pulled with Cruise and didn’t like it one bit.

The project was previously only known as a Cronin mystery movie that had been announced earlier this year and is now set for an April 17, 2026 release.

I’m ready for a new Mummy film. I’ll give it a go, I think with new tensions in the Middle East the time is right for that sort of story of fear of the other and consequences for colonisation etc

The "You're not ready for what's coming" would have gotten a big yawn from me if not for the fact that this is coming from the same director as Evil Dead Rise.

May Calamawy is totally playing the Rachel Weisz character.

Oh wow they got May, that casting alone is enough to convince me this will be great. Love her

Never rely on casting as a sign for a movie to be great lol.

But Lee Cronin knocked it out of the park with his Evil Dead movie.

Too late I’m still gonna.

I love May and besides people used to get excited about seeing a film because their fave actor was in it all the time

It’s always funny how they announce cast members as if they have just been added when the film wrapped two weeks ago.

New Line Cinema and WB's reboot of The Mummy will be titled The Resurrected. Scooper Daniel Richtman shared the rumor, which included the following logline for the new movie:

"After his missing daughter mysteriously returns eight years later, a father discovers she carries the spirit of an ancient Egyptian mummy—and as the evil spreads to his other child, he must perform a deadly ritual to save them, even if it means becoming the monster himself."
