I personally want to see a feature length movie of L4D that's all CG like the opening movie.

The would be awesome but they would probably get someon like W.S. Anderson to come in and **** it up.I personally want to see a feature length movie of L4D that's all CG like the opening movie.
why would you want that? it's supposed to be about zombie killing action, not preludes to it. Maybe we are misunderstanding each other. I want a "movie" not a "movie in a game" cutscene. And not just any movie that can be ruined by some schmuck director, like someone mentioned here, but a totally Valve orchestrated full length CG movie. They are more than capable of producing it, it's just that they are game developer company, not a film studio. That'd be cool. Especially if it were like prequels featuring the characters' lives before the zombie attack, and then it ends with them all gathering on the rooftop of the hospital for No Mercy. Sort of ending when the game begins.![]()
Because it seems unnecessary to tell the same story that the game does. It also ruins the idea that we shape the main story through the game and the AI director's reactions to our actions. I'd prefer they cover new ground rather than giving us a "canon version" of the game's story.why would you want that? it's supposed to be about zombie killing action, not preludes to it. Two founding members of a group organizing the boycott of Left 4 Dead 2 were recently flown in to Valve headquarters to see the game for themselves.
The two boycotters (shown left, flanking Valve president Gabe Newell) announced their playtest on the group's Steam page, reporting that Left 4 Dead 2 "seemed balanced and 'tight' and did not feel like a rushed job."
"What we can say with confidence is that the quality of gameplay in Left 4 Dead 2 is not in question; and it will only get better," they said following the visit, while adding that they will not give up the boycott until their "individual concerns are addressed."
The group's official charter demands that Valve release ongoing DLC for the original Left 4 Dead, convert Left 4 Dead 2 to a free update or an expansion, and give discounts for the sequel to Left 4 Dead owners.
Despite the duo's assurance that the boycott is not over, some members took the largely complimentary report to mean that the group had been "corrupted" by Valve.
My opinion of the boycotters sinks ever lower.Despite the duo's assurance that the boycott is not over, some members took the largely complimentary report to mean that the group had been "corrupted" by Valve.

Eh who is really listening to these boycotters anyway? From what I'm seeing in other message boards they're really just a joke. Valve rocks and this latest move just proves it. Regardless of what some people think Valve actually cares about the gamers and wants to release the best product possible instead of just turning out worthless crap.In spite of the boycott, Valve continues to prove that they're basically the best "gamers' game company" in the business right now. What other developer/game corporation would listen to fans' outrage and actually do something to stand behind their product and try to change that opinion? I haven't heard about EA, Activision, et al. flying boycotters of their games out to their offices anytime soon.
Most of the assets needed are probably already there than needed built from scratch.
