LEGO Marvel super heroes 2

Hey alright, Spidey 2099!

Oh man, I wonder how they'll handle Strange. So many possible abilities, so few buttons.

I hope they not only retain but also improve super jumps. Being able to do a half charge would be nice, unlike in Lego Avengers where you have to max out the meter or else the jump is cancelled.

Whatever they did to make the firsr game work is what they need to do make this one just as good.

I never played the first outside the demo but its been on sale for $5 several times. I may get it next time it is but wish it was put on Plus

Great news! Loved the first one and I need some more Marvel game goodness in my life.

Marvel really decided to bring the fire in the video game world

Yay marvel are finally making good games! And it looks like they will occasionally stray from the cinematic universe which is good because sticking too close to the movies ruined the last one

I wasn't expecting TT Games to release this game next, I was expecting Lego Star Wars: Rogue One

It seems rather late to announce a Rogue One game now. That likely wont happen and instead an Episode 8 tie-in will happen next year

Oh sweet, a third Marvel game from Traveller's Tales to have. I'm happy. :yay:

Hyped for this. I've enjoyed every Lego game that has come out, and Lego Marvel Super Heroes is at the top of my list on most days.

Hopefully we can get the Marvel characters that Fox has the movie rights to in this one.

Hmmm.
I remembered something; I want multiple maps to view for this game, not just the world map showing other realms on the side.

We got the X-Men and the :ff: in the first game, I have hopes of seeing them included in a sequel to a game that involved them.

Yeah, but I still have big concerns. They didn't mention any of those characters in the release article, and Lego Marvel did come out before the big embargo of characters. I played Avengers Alliance game on Facebook and we didn't get anymore X-Men related characters after June 2014 or so. They also changed one of the alternate character costume releases near the end of the game because of ties to Fantastic 4.

I think one thing that is for sure is that there will be plenty of Spiders running around.

Kang the Conquerer's movie rights belong to Fox, and he's the villain of this game, so it's safe to say we'll get Fantastic Four and X-men.

Hope so. But if we get them, they may take a backseat in regards to the story mode.

That's pretty upsetting.

Greeeeeaaaaaaat.
Not only do we have multiple characters who play the same for this game, now we will have alternate costumes taking more character cells.

We probably don't need to worry about copyrights with video games as all the universes have smushed together in the past.

Can't wait for this. I wish we need who the roster is

It's not a question of whether they have rights or not, but whether they want to promote those properties or not. They always COULD use those characters in Lego Avengers. They just didn't want to.

Didn't they make it in some of the recent games so that alternate skins are all in one slot and alternate in a cycle?

They did, but with the general simplicity of core mechanics for each character, Spider-Characters like Miles Morales and Miguel O'Hara will probably be more like alternate costumes taking alternate slots.

Yes, they had all the Iron Man suits tied to a slot, all the Captain Americas, all the Barton Hawkeyes, etc with just one slot.

Also Kang was in one of the DLC packs for Lego Avengers.

As far as characters who are similar taking up spots, there are only so many skills to go around, so having characters who are palette swaps doesn't bother me in the least.

I'm assuming Peter David has been confirmed as the writer of this? Bill rosemann said the writer was huge. I assume if Spider-Man 2099 is there it has to be David. Or bendis. But probably David

I don't think it's going to be a comic book writer that does the story. I looked at previous Lego games that had original stories, and the writers of those games have been people who had TV backgrounds. They had ties to comic book cartoons, but they weren't guys strictly from comics.

But when I saw Rosemann's tweet

I tend to think they are looking even bigger
