Well... I got an email yesterday indicating that my order of this got upgraded to day of release delivery (at no additional charge). Can't wait... been getting a little bored and need something new to play

Yeah me and my girlfriend just played through lego dimensions over the past couple weeks, we actually just finished it in time to get this and play it.

I'm not picking mine up, I ordered mine online so it's shipping. As of 3am this morning the tracking number had it approx. 620 miles away.

So i just finished the Avengers 1 storyline and went to free roam but im stuck as baron strucker and dr. List, it won't let me character swap.

You can't just free switch by pulling up the character menu until you finish the whole story. You can switch characters if you can find one of those SHIELD access points or whatever its called.
