LEGO Marvel's Avengers

Man, you cut out Spidey, X-Men and Fantastic Four and the roster takes a huge hit.
The roster is like over half of random nobodies. There's like 5 cool characters that aren't from the movie and that's it.

I'm gonna wait until this drops in price before picking it up, which I'm guessing might be around the time Civil War comes out.

Aww poor thing.

I definitely plan on it.
Just always a little disappointed when a game I'm looking forward to gets so-so reviews.

Someone asked Arthur on Twitter if there was more dlc after the season pass and he said not sure yet

Its supposed to give 5 level packs that you will get as soon as they are released

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D
Black Panther
Masters of Evil
Captain Marvel
Doctor Strange

It also immediately gives you an Avengers Explorer Character Pack

Ah man the reviews for this aren't great. :(

If you have liked previous Lego games, you will have fun with it. It does kind of feel like a step backwards going from an original story to one based on the movies.

^ but people should've known that going in this wasn't going to be an original story. Especially when they came out and said you'd be playing through certain films from the MCU. This isn't Marvel Superheroes, this is MCU marvel. So people should've known.

What's the reviews like? I have Marvel's Super Heroes Lego game that I play with my 5 year old and we love it.

Hopefully they don't do what they did to the Batman Lego series. The first Batman Lego game was perfect for us, the Batman 2 was just way too complicated for him so I end up playing the levels by myself to unlock free play and by then he has no interest.

Me and my 6 year old both love it. Not complicated and plays a lot like Lego marvel but with some improvements

So basically they used the soundbites from the films combined with Lego Kids humor. The only difference is they got Cobie Smulders to be the game's narrator much like Lego Marvel's Super Heroes got Clark Greg.

They did the same with The Hobbit and Jurassic World. TBH I'm not that keen on it, I would prefer if they did their own dialogue or went back to the characters not saying anything.

Me and sis started playing a little bit on Wednesday (we ended at the point that Cap's flashback mission just started). The only time I think the pulling audio from the films makes me go a little ;nd is when they've shifted the order of the dialogue around and I'm like 'wait, they're not supposed to say that yet!'' but that's more a sign of how obsessive I am with a film (and how well I know the dialogue as it is in the films) than anything else :oldrazz: Other than that, I actually don't really mind them pulling the audio (so long as there's still original dialogue thrown in, which there seems to be). I do think they did a better job of mixing the film audio in than they did on the Lego Jurassic World game, some of the audio on that (particularly from like the first Jurassic movie) just the quality of the audio would kind of take me out of it. Haven't hit it yet in this game (but then, we're still fairly early in the game)

Watching a interview with Arthur he confirmed baron Zemo and radioactive man for the master of evil pack. Said its the classic team. Said the agent of shield pack will have 11 characters. Said the captain marvel pack has 8 or 9 characters and explores the cosmic side of marvel that he isn't too familiar with.

So I don't know if anyone else ran into this glitch. Figured I'd mention it just in case.

Don't know if it's a glitch limited only to when you have a 2nd player playing, if it's limited to the Wii U, or if it's limited to Wii U having a 2nd player playing. Anywho... me and my sister had just started the Avengers Assemble mission. I was the primary player as Thor, she was Widow in the Quinjet circling Stark Tower. The glitch happened when I (as Thor) got Loki down onto the main landing platform. She, in the Quinjet, got hit and exploded and the problem came that every time the jet respawned she immediately exploded again. The trick comes when it forces our places to switch (so me, as the primary player, takes over the Quinjet) to destroy the 10 Chitauri vessels/sleds around the tower. Difficult to do when spontaneously exploding. I managed to destroy like 3 by sheer luck/getting off a shot or two before exploding.

The workaround seemed to simply be to restart the mission as a single player only (have player 2 avoid jumping in/joining the game until after you've defeated Loki on the tower).

Like I said, just thought I would throw this out there in case anyone else came across it.

Anyone else not seeing NYC landmarks? Like...The Empire State Building.

I haven;t really looked for them, but I'll check next time I play. I'm kinda mad they took out the map for setting your course and stuff.

I am digging this game. Not as cool as Lego Marvel, due to lack of Spidey/F4/X-Men stuff. But it is a great game. I have been geeking a lot. The details are so great. I am in Malibu now and loving it. The music created for the game is awesome too. Like this Malibu track.

ok I have 4 video of this game from EPN.TV the first 4 some of you can skip them over incase some there are some people that have reached certain area's or have playedthegame yet.

but if you don't mind then enjoy the VOD streams.
