it's just a video of a toddler watching superman fly for the first time lol it's funny
I'll have to try looking at it tonight at the college. lol

Picture this:

You work at a shoe store and one of your colleagues (Newly appointed supervisor) asks you to come in today because quote "it looks like a hurricane passed through here", i'm like ok sure, so i have a quick bite to eat, get dressed and off to work thinking "A hurricane? Can't be that bad, lol", i was so wrong....

There were shoes all over the floor, kids screaming and crying everywhere while there hipster parents were on the phone ignoring them or shouting at the staff, someone spilt some crisps all over the floor, one genius toddler decided it was play time and whipped out a freaking firetruck from his stroller and played fireman on the floor, crumbling the crisps, and i was like What. The. F***?!

Then to make matters was some hoodlum about in his early teens decided too getting on his bike and drive it IN THE BLOODY SHOP FLOOR!!!, his mates were just behind him on bikes as well and were going to do the same thing till i quickly blocked the door and told the other brat to piss off! (in a polite retail manner of course) and tried to handle the situation as much as possible.

We had to stay in for an extra 3 hours after the shop closed to fill up the shelves with stock, and tidy all the mess up.

Thank god we were paid overtime time cuz that was a nightmare experience....

*Sigh*

So hows everyones day going? :)

:lmao:

sod that lol.

You know i use to think retail was fun, my naiveness will be the death of me lol.

Reek is counting on your naiveness (:sly:) to be the death of you.

What I'm saying is... Best keep walking past the sign that reads "Free Bird Food" on a pile of seeds in the middle of the road that has a boulder placed precisely above it.

:lmao:

Forget that lol.

lol Yeah I did retail for 20 years, seen a lot of STRANGE things lol

Right now i wanna go back in time and tell me younger self exactly that.

That boy expects everything to be the death of me lol. :o

He'll die when it's time. You don't force an artist to create. You wait. Patiently.

Aye it is one of the highlights of working in retail, seeing and meeting all sorts of people and stuff.

Whether they're a friendly face or my waking nightmare for the day is the big issue there though, hehe.

Working in retail is like staring into never-ending oblivion, realizing that your only escape would be if it consumed you entirely. And you get an employee discount.

25% of all shoes and merchendise, ode joy. :o

But for real, love the discount. :ninja:

I want to WANT to like GOTG... But that trailer frankly looks like another insufferably smug outing similar to the first one which while not a terrible film, was insanely overrated in my eyes given the reaction around here to it. Hell... I'll be honest and say that while the humor in the first film hit the mark more often than not, the stuff in this trailer all fell flat as a pancake for me.

I also don't care for GotG.

Give me NEW GODS...with Travis Fimmel as Orion

My Kids and I love GotG. I can't wait for more of GotG2 to be shown. It's also what the CONTENT of this film I'm hoping we see more of lol

Varth, you do you.

For me... So much about GOTG rubs me the wrong way, not least of which is... Sure, it had some funny stuff. And humor is welcome. But... I think humor was the only thing it did really well. Everything else was boiler plate bland. Outside of them as quip machines, I didn't really feel for the characters. The villain doesn't even register, it's conflict is muddy... If others love it, fine. I just honestly can't get behind it as I don't see much that's there that I would want to see more than once.

I wasnt even meant to work today, now that's the real kicker here lol.
Sounds like me most of the time lol As a Security Guard or any Law officer, you ARE NOT supposed to drink 8 hours before a shift. I told the Boss last Tuesday I was free for new years eve. Nobody called all day, so at 6pm I started drinking. An hour later I get a call can't you work? lol Told them nope been drinking since 6pm

I'd LOVE to see that! Maybe after Inhumans we will, if Marvel don't screw it up

Yeah, I think we're approaching the time for it. Star Wars is back, and fantasy is making its way back and they're not afraid to get crazy with comic book movies anymore.

I mostly feel this way. I did appreciate most of the humour, and I really liked the aesthetic of the film (especially the vibrant colours), but the misuse of Ronan and the extremely thin plot ate at me. I liked it, but I haven't re-watched it much.

Alternatively, the trailer for the second did interest me a bit, so I'll end up seeing that.

heh I know one guy who hates it because "it looks too dirty, like Firefly" lol I guess he was raised to like Trek hardly any dirt

Let's hope! Tho I think that's why Marvel did GotG in the first place, to get away from the normal Superhero Film
