Let's also assume that this hypothetical Link is an amalgamation of all the different incarnations of Link from the games. So he has the Ocarina of Time, Wind Waker, a ****ton of masks, and the damn Master Sword, among a ton of other ****. And can turn into a wolf.

The controllers that come with the thing do look like crap. They are putting out "pro" controllers for it, but of course those are sold separately.

of course they do... then they will also say you have to buy a nunchuck for it too... battery packs not included... you'll have to buy those as well as the recharge kit...

taking all of this into consideration, a proper nintendo switch will run around $900.

With Nintendo consoles, you just kinda push through the crap they put out as a console, so you can get to the first-party games. Zelda, Metroid, Mario, Smash Bros and Pokemon aren't coming out anywhere else, so it's kinda the crutch they lean on. But those games are generally awesome, so it's worth it to a degree in the end.

I bought a wii strictly for Zelda, Mario Galaxy 2, and Mario Kart... Wii sports is fun, too, if you have a party or something.

The games generally revolve around her splitting the Triforce, or being the key to gathering the pieces of the Triforce, or unlocking the realm to access the Triforce, or some such, so she's the key to the story.

That reminds of Quentin Tarantino's cameo in Inglourious Basterds as the hands that choked Diane Kruger to death.
