"Hugh Jackman is such a delight to watch on the face of it, but then when you throw in Liev Schreiber as Sabretooth and Taylor Kitsch as Gambit, it was just amazing," said Claremont, who created both Sabretooth and Gambit during his 17-year run on Uncanny X-Men in the '70s and '80s. "The bringing to life of characters that I've worked on, and doing it so well, was just an incredible treat."

"I was thrilled. I had a terrific time at the movie," said Wein, who created Wolverine in 1974. "I thought, and it was my wife's point too, that it was very much my Wolverine."

Nice read... but im sure its not in their best interest to crap on anything they didnt like about this movie. Assuming that there were things they didnt like... which I'm sure there was.. theres noooo way anyone who is a fan of this charecter can walk away from that movie with no gripes... lol

Yeah, Sabretooth first appeared in Iron Fist #14 (August, 1977) which was written by Chris Claremont and penciled/co-written by John Byrne.

1) I just plain ol' forgot that Claremont wrote that Iron Fist issue, so I wasn't sure if he created Sabretooth.

2) I knew Sabretooth first appeared in Iron Fist but that quote seemed to imply his first appearance was in Uncanny X-Men, this coupled with #1 confused me for a second.

Basically, I guess I just had a brain-fart.
