Rise of the Silver Surfer Lets Cast the Inhumans...for Fantastic Four 3

^^
YEs they need to finish The Galactus and maybe at the end kind introduce Medussa

I think the Inhumans should be the next "villains" for FF3. If not them who else?

Negative Zone/Annihilus? I don't think you can pull off the Negative Zone and not have it cheesy....too cheesy. It obviously works in comics but on film? Can't see it happening? Maybe keep the actual N-Zone to a minium and have Annihilus spend most of his time on Earth.

Puppet Master? Not visually interesting. It would basically be the FF vs themselves and how much of a let-down would that be since we basically see them jabbing at each anyways. You could have PM make the Awesome Android (instead of the Mad Thinker), so the FF have a physical threat. Really hope it's not Puppet Master.

Frightful Four? Could be interesting. However, they're just an evil version of the FF. Isn't that a little dull? We've already gotten evil Spider-Man, so I think the evil twin/version is a little tired. The Frightful Four never had a goal, anyway.

Black Panther? Would really be a nice launch pad for his own franchise (like Surfer). I think the Panther would have to team up with the FF, since you don't them to be adversaries for the whole film. Maybe work in Klaw as the villain?

Psycho Man? Nope. Although shrinking the FF could be cool. However, Ant-Man is being made by Marvel, so they shouldn't compete with their own projects.

Namor? He'd be perfect. However, Fox & Marvel don't have the rights. I believe Universal has Namor. I don't see 2 studios teaming up for this confrontation, so it won't happen.

Doom? I say give him a rest. Let him "heal" himself and take over Latveria. Maybe have a cameo, so we know he's around and set up another sequel. I just think Doom should disappear for a while.

Overall, I think the Inhumans offer the best possible story for an FF movie. Borrow heavily from the comics. The FF stumble upon one of the Inhumans in NYC (Crystal probably meets Johhny). The FF are led to Attillan (somewhere on Earth and not the moon). The meet the Royal Family. Maximus the Mad tries to usurp power from Black Bolt while the FF are there. Maybe Maximus tricks the FF into helping him at first. Maximus is going to release the Terrigen Mists into Earth's atmosphere and cause chaos. The FF and Royal Family have to team up to stop Maximus. Easy.

It could allow for some interesting character designs. As well as some nice production designs for Attillan. Sure, it could be pricey. However, I think it could work if thought out properly.

Finish...when did they start (lol). Actually, I enjoyed Tim Story's interpretation of Galactus, however I don't see that storyline continuing in the next film (not the whole movie anyway). I see the Inhumans (big surprise) taking on the biggest plot/storyline for FF3.

Towards the end of the 3rd movie, have the Silver Surfer show up and warn both the FF and the Inhumans that their help is needed for the true Galactus himself has arrived to devour the Earth once more!!

I agree that the Inhumans would make for an epic flick, but just wanted to point out that the Frightful Four are not the Marvel Zombie FF from the Ultimate series. They are a team of villians consisting of the Wizard, Trapster, Sandman & Medusa (or varying alternate fourth members). Medusa had amnesia and was roaming the states when the Wizard convinced her to join the Frightful Four. She eventually came to her senses, helped the FF defeat the Frightful 4 and defected back to the Inhumans.

I would love to see the Inhumans introduced this way - also with Crystal just wanting to be a 'normal' girl and sneaking into NYC and being discovered by Johnny. These stories were great.

What was Doom "goal" in the first movie? The Frightful Four story where they turn BEN against the team would make a great film, and if you are going to do such a story, it would be better done with the evil FF than the Puppet Master!

Doom's goal in the first movie was revenge all around.

Having a story with the Frightful Four (say, Puppetmaster, Moleman, Wizard and Thing) could be cool, but having a Evil FF is just plain redundant and doesn't give us much in the way of character development, since each character is essentially relating with themselves.

WE need something bigger and better then FF2 i mean how the heck are you gonna pull off something huger then Big Clouds destroying the Earth?

phoenixflight,

I really like your thinking on this. Normally when people start threads like this, you get the predictable lot (i.e. George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Julia Roberts, etc.)

You went for popular Television actors and some darn good ones at that. you think like a casting director would.

Good job man

Thanks for your compliments.

I really tried to pick a cast that would fit a realistic budget for a 3rd movie...it's a big cast!! I also wanted to make the cast really solid and so that's how I gathered my cast members, not every actor has to be a Brad Pitt or an Angelina Jolie (tv stars are also really great at what they do). They are all really fine actors and would make a great addition to the Fantastic Four universe.

I think you need a older Karnak other then that the cast seems perfect!!!:woot: :hyper:

GL1 - when I said "evil FF" of course I meant the original Frightful Four and not "bad" versions of the good FF. And IF they do the Frightful Four, then keep with the original line up - Wizard, Medusa, Trapster, and if not Sandman, then Quicksand!

Maybe they could do an adaption of "Silent war" the United states Military and the Inhumans declare war upon each other, and the Fantastic 4 are stuck in the middle ofcourse. And if you guys want to throw in a version of the frightful Four into the Mix, have them be a goverment sponsered team, that got their powers after being exposed to cosmic rays when the surfer came to earth [as he was emitting vast amounts of cosmic energy]. The frightful four [called something more sensible in the movie] could lead a goverment strike against the Inhumans, forceing the fantastic 4 to ofcourse try and stop the Goverment and the Inhumans from destroying each other.

Seriously a giant Mastiff like this could make the perfect Lockjaw. He really shouldn't be all-cg.

Definitely! Lockjaw probably wouldn't appear in that many scenes, anyway. But even a giant mastiff would need to be "enlarged" to some extent. Lockjaw comes up to Black Bolt's shoulders. But I do hope they start with a real dog!

Here are the character to cast comparisons...

That ain't any Crystal I want to see. (the comics pic, I mean)
That's like the "tarted-up" anti-Crystal that's been running around the Marvel Universe for the last 10 years or so.

THIS is Crystal:

FF118.jpg

(The costume in that second cover was Diablo's idea, not hers)

Crystal was tough, but Crystal was basically a nice girl.
Not the cheating neurotic they've turned her into.

I don't disagree with you, however, I picked the "Ultimate Marvel Crystal" pic to match up my choice for an actress (as a look-a-like comparison). I would like to see the naive Crystal as well. But she still needs to kick a$$ when the time comes.

I guess she is the most powerful Inhuman!!!

Here are a few choices not mention:

The Molecule Man (of course without the friggin' wand)

Diablo

Instead of Annihilus how bout Blastaar.

Why would I include them in a forum about casting the Inhumans?!

no elisha wouldnt make a good sue, people pick her for every damn role because shes hot, she cant act, honestly im so sick of seeingher for black cat, mary jane, gwen stacy, batgirl, sue storm, etc
shes not that great people!and thats coming from a canadian

Oh, go look at pics of Ali Larter, kid.

Ali Larter definitely for Crystal....that would be awesome....

I'm all for the Inhumans in FF3. Crystal could serve as a love interest for Johnny.

A talking dog will bring these movies down further and critics will seal the last nail on the coffin if Lockjaw has a starring role.

Yeah, if you want a Crystal who looks like she's been beaten with an ugly stick.

That's your opinion, and you have every right to it.....but many disagree.
