Lets Go To The Cinema To Chat And Be an Annoying So and So.

On the flipside of that argument, if you want to watch a movie, enjoy yourself, and talk with your friends maybe you're the one who should wait for the DVD? You could watch it at home with your friends and talk as loud as you want and there wouldn't be anyone there for you to bother or be bothered by.

But I don't talk loudly, and I am fully able to watch a movie without being distracted by the inevitable talking and such of other people who have nothing to do with me. I'm fully prepared for the full movie experience.

And frankly I don't care if someone I don't know is bothered by my whispered comments, especially if they complain. I'm so damn sorry for having fun at the movies at the expense of your easily distracted ass. If you're there to watch the movie as everyone likes to say, then watch the damn movie and mind your own business. People are so damn sensitive over the stupidest things.

Hence why I always go see most movies twice. Once by myself and again a second time when family or friends want to go. I gotta focus the first time I watch it, man.

Yeah, it's a reason why I llike to watch films on DVD by myself. I want to be alone and be stuck into the film where it leads me, I hate distractions and as a film buff, I think it's disrespectful to the film, (but that's just me)

I always thought abuot going to the theater by myself but it would feel weird. I enjoy going to the mpvies with my friends and family as long as they don't talk. My best friend is pretty good about this.

Except when we saw Valkyrie, he leaned over and said somethign to me, I didn't even know what eh said, I was trying to watch the film, and just said, "Uh huh."

Or when I watched TDK for the first time on DVD my mom came down and asked me what TDK poster I wanted for christmas, she showed me the DVD cover of the Joker on it and I said "uh huh." just keeping my eyes on the screen.

I'm the only person I know who thinks that you shouldn't talk at all during a film.

I go by myself 90 percent of the time I do go to the movies and I find I enjoy the film more that way....I partially agree....just in general, how hard is it to keep your piehole shut for 2 hours??

I've been told that some people who go to see a movie is because it's an event to them like going to see a Broadway show, Opera, Ballet is for others. So while I can understand their enthusiasm for the film, this isn't your ****ing living room. Shut your face! :cmad:

^Exactly. That's what happened when I seen the re-release of TDK. All the guys had to explain every second of the plot to their girlfriends.Literally one line of dialogue would end and you'd here dozens and dozens of men quietly chatter to their girls translating it into woman speak. Seriously ****. They can understand the film. They're not Robert Downey Jr.

As for other shoddy movie experiences I remember when I seen Spider-Man 3 the theater was so loud and crowded with kids running around I honestly felt like I was watching a movie in the middle of a shopping mall on black friday. It was insanely annoying.

I'm a woman and I understood all the dialogue in The Dark Knight completely. :cmad:

did anyone actually read the whole interview?? its blatantly obvious he was joking around....He was trying to make the point that Iron Man was a bit more accessible to the GA (which it was).....I had to translate TDK for my mom, sisters, and my best friend....conversely...my mom loves Iron Man and my best friend actually pilfered my DVD when I had a get together at my house last week and I have to get it back from her....

I've not really had this problem too much. I went to see Max Payne and there were some little kids in front of us talking fairly loudly. One even said "is he gay or something" cos Max didn't sleep with that hot lady.. so we said something to them and they soon shut up.

I went to see Friday the 13th too, it was the first day so it ws full and probably 2/3s of the people there were under age, probably an average of 15/16..

So you can imagine that there was a lot of screaming and laughing little girls in there...

I don't ming talking during all the adverts and stuff and occasional whispering is ok, I mean I do that but.. but once the trailers and movie starts people need to shut up.

If there's a huge event movie coming out...see it at midnight.

why?

Because even though it'll be packed, those are true fans that are watching beside you. On both of my personal accounts of midnight screenings ("X3" and "TDK") everyone turned off their phones and, aside from the understandable laugh/gasp at events happening on the screen, they kept quiet.

But that aside, I agree with the original poster and the majority of people.

You don't pay 5 to 7 bucks to sit in a theatre and talk...I'm sorry, but that's just stupid. If you wanna talk during a movie, do it at home with a DVD/Blu-Ray.

That way you still get to talk through a movie...but not only are you technically doing it for free (and as many times as you want) but then you won't have to worry about annoying me and everyone else around you.

This is not true where I live though. Most of the people that see Midnight showings of event movies are interested in the cool factor of being the first to see said hot movie.

thankfully I've yet to have that happen...that might change though.

But I'm not a fan of those wannabees that you've had to deal with...:down

I'm the same way as you. If I'm watching a movie and something happens that I don't understand I just store it in my memory and ask about it after the film's over.

I don't mind people texting, but actually talking on the phone or talking in general is obnoxious. I don't even like people talking during previews.
