Let's keep a little mystery.

I think one thing that will really help Spider-Man 3 is the inclusion of a little mystery at the end. I think if they do introduce Venom, his secret ID should remain a secret, you know, give Spidey a shadow to jump at. I understans that they are trying to tell a long story in a short amount of time but I would love a little cross sequel who-done-it. Harry was in the first and second, but after Peter found out GG was Norman, there will be no question in his mind when a new one turns up. I want Spidey to end the movie with a sence of dread, like the problem at hand is taken care of but "Who are the viallains in SpiderMan 4!?"

You may be thinking X-Men, they are gonna milk Spidey for all he's worth.

That's not a bad idea to leave it kinda of like spiderman 2 with everyone suspecting that harry is going to be another goblin. This would be cool if you see Dr. Conners in his lab one sec than go to some other scene for the movie and have peter go there and have Dr. Conners missing with some sort of
"accident" in his lab.

Something like that, altough the Lizard was no accident. Conners injected himself with the serum, but he didn't know it would do more than regrow his arm.

This movie is shaping up to be a real mess in my opinion. If they try to sew everything up at the end and resolve all three villain's stories, I can't see much hope.

That's what I'm thinking, this is the perfect oportunity for a cliff-hanger. The franchise is teetering on the edge of silliness and a good dramatic edge-of your-seater could pull it back.

Actually Tobey has said he loved playing the part and would keep doing it as long as the fans kept excepting him as Spider-man. That was in a TV guide interview (I use to work for them).

I think if he has said that recently it's Dunst talking. I think that's part of the reason they seem to be throwing Gwen in all of a sudden. To replace MJ.

If 3 is going the way the rumor's are flying though I Think it will suck and thus kill the franchise.

If they fit in all 3 villains stories, kill them, and make it good, like Haryr saving Peter by killing Venom but dying, it will be awesome. I think I see it as a trilogy because they said they will wrap up everything in this film. So Spiderman 4 would be a brand new start hopefully with Lizard

I think they were refering to the Goblin trilogy. When Raimi had said that SM3 was his last film for the franchise (last year), he said that it was to conclude his trilogy (all three movies are about the GG and MJ), suggesting the films would go another way after 3... kind of how X3 is the end of a trilogy... but the franchise will go on through other forms and characters. (generation x, x-factor, etc) X-men 4 will not be about the x-men in the first 3 movies...so spider-man 4 would no longer be about the GG or MJ.

But, so far out of canon that the die hard comic fans would slam the movie.
