Maybe Harry goes nuts from taking the Green serum and he's just hallucinating it ? Hallcinating Norman throwing it at him to act.
It's a possibilty I guess.

I hope it doesn't kill him. That would be dumb. He needs to die saving Peter. I also hope it doesn't mess up his face and that's why he puts on the mask. This isn't Dr. Doom.

That was my first thought when seeing it. It couldn't have disfigured Harry because we see him without the mask in the trailer.

well, it could be argued that the part with Harry without the mask will come before the part with the mask which shoots down this theory.

I think Harry is hurt in a hospital and is having a dream of himself and his dad talking to each other in the Goblin's lair,or if William Dafoe isn't in it,it could be the actual GG from the first movie walking and talking to Harry in the lair.

Then the GG throws a pumpkin bomb at Harry and Harry wakes up,and then at the battle royal you see Harry as the GG flying in,and moviegoers will think that the GG has come to fight spidey,but then find out that he is there to help spidey.

I hope Harry uses the GG suit from the first movie for the battle royale,because that snow board outfit is a joke.

Here's a scenario....
Harry Osborn takes on the mantle of "Green Goblin the second" (hehe...sue me) and goes directly after Peter Parker with "his" version of the Goiblin gear and suit. Peter is just about to propose to Mary Jane, when oops! a pumpkin bomb hits his apartment, and out of the window he goes (as in the trailer), but fails to catch the ring in time. Harry crashes into the wall (like in the trailer) after trying to hit an unsuited Parker, as Parker jumps back into the apartment, rips off his clothes to reveal his new "Black Spidey" outfit, and the two do battle in the sky. Parker is easily beaten by the anger-fueled Osborn, and Harry imeediately leaves after his Goblin attire is damaged by Parker! When back at his manison, he throws away the suit and now-broken glider. He thinks long and hard about what he just did, and hates himself for it.

Onto the Battle royale...(while Spidey does battle with Sandman and our favorite...Venom!)
Harry feels terrible still about almost killing his best friend, when MJ arrives at his house, she has a plan to save both of their lives. (Peter's and Harry's) She tells Harry that she knows he is still good, and that he is the only one who can save Pete, so Harry immediately enters his father's Goblin lair, destroys everything but a few pumpkin bombs, and his father's old Green Goblin suit. he puts on the evil suit (because it will protect him better than the previous one) without wearing the mask, and jumps on the REAL Goblin glider, and heads for the construction site. When he arrives, Peter is about to bite it, Sandman is dead, and Venom is there, slowly injurying Peter. Harry swoops down, and kicks Venom out of the way. But our friend Eddie Brock/Venom is not yet out of the competition, and strikes the good Green Goblin, with a blow right through the chest, into his heart, instantly killing Harry Osborn. Peter screams, jumps over Harry's dead body and begins to kick the ***** out of Venom. They are evenly matched, but Parker manages to give the final blow to Venom, with the symbiote leaving Brock and disappearing into the nearby river (under the Queensboro Bridge), with Brock's almost dead body laying on the ground, unconsious (sp?) and all. Peter holds Harry's crippled body close to him, cries, and we fade to black....

Fade to Queens Jail House.
Eddie Brock is being drug into a jail cell, and is locked away. But he has a cellamate.
Cellmate: Yo! Hey! You awake?! (Brock awakens)
Brock: Where am I? Who are you?
Cellmate: You're in jail kid, and my name....is Cletus....Cletus Kasady.

From what I believe from the set reports and pieceing info together.

Harry has a fight with Peter right before MJ's play. They both go watch the play as we can see in the trailer. Then Harry runs out throws on the essential gear and attacks Peter. They both go throughout the city fighting until Harry hits the wall, from what those old set pics show I think Harry hits that wall and knocks himself out getting amnesia in the process. And Peter takes him to a hospital ridding of his Goblin gear.

Then later Harry goes to help Peter, but throws on another suit. Thats what I'm pretty sure will happen.

Yah, cause the Bomb explodes and it doesnt seem harry gets hurt at all so it must be a dream/hallucination.

Cause who the heck would/could throw a bomb at Harry out of the ast

But it doesnt seem to me like Harrys fightign he is wearing normal clothes and stuff and that bomb would incinerate him from that close.

It can't be thrown by spidey...

I think it might be Peter or as some have suggested it might be some type of dream/hallucination sequence.

It looks almost like a similar scene in the first movie where a pumpkin bomb explodes in Spidey's face, blowing off half of his mask.

Maybe it's Ned Leeds after he's ransacked the place and stole most of the Goblin stuff (including the suit and mask - which is why Harry's really just running round in a black jumpsuit with a paintball mask on)?

Maybe Hobgoblins actually in the film and they're keeping it as a suprise.
