Not sure, but he did learn how to twirl the drum stick.

I don't think he's really playing. He doesn't seem to be playing some of the different drums (eg snare, kick) when he should be. Also he's barely touching that hi hat. And he doesn't always look in time either. He's not really doing anything during those drum rolls too.
