Yeah, but when he changed back to Banner he had his beard again.

How on earth did they allow that? I was fully expecting Hulk to have a beard when he first transformed and thought it would look cool, but then it was just and when it disappeared but returned again when he changed back.

He can! He's had one when playing Hercules.

It would be the ultimate disguise though. People would never guess the Hulk could be Banner because they'd be looking for a non-bearded man if they realised "the creature" transformed back to an ordinary man (which not everyone did).
