Live Action Batman Movie Reviews by AVGN

If any of you watch and love the Angry Video Game Nerd (if you haven't heard of him, check him out NOW, you're missing out!) , you'll be pleased to know that he's doing reviews of all the live action Batman movies, the first review being released on July 7th. Maybe it'll countdown the days until TDK, who knows.

All I know is that I'm really excited for this. I love AVGNs commentary, so that plus Batman is sure to be a good time. I can't wait to hear him rip apart Batman & Robin

Eh, I doubt he'll do that. I'm sure there will be praise mixed in with the criticisms. I'm betting the Burton films will definitely not take the bulk of being ripped apart.

i see very big anger there.

i don't really think that james really knows much about the comicbooks, so basically - as a film nerd and child of the 80's and early 90's- he will say that the burton movies are a watchable orgasm and schumachers movies are pure stinkers. so don't be afraid with that.

Yeah, sorry if I kind of mislead people about that. I always refer to James as AVGN regardless of what it's about. It's still humorous and entertaining, just not at the extreme level of the stuff he does with video games.

Although I'm hoping he goes a bit more AVGN for some of it P:

I liked it. I didn't agree with all his viewpoints, but I understood where he was coming from, so it was good to hear. I also enjoyed how he threw in little tidbits of extra information that not every Bat-Fan would know. He also gave a pretty good summary of the feelings and responses to the films from the culture at the time.

James is always great. I was surprised to see he wasn’t blown away by Begins. Nice to see someone that isn’t afraid to be themselves, no adhering to this Nolanite Burton-hating fad.

Batman and Robin was the worst movie ever and after watching the way James reviewed that movie, i started to see it as a comedy. It made me go "yea, i know what you mean."
