Live-action Cowboy Bebop coming to the big screen courtesy of....

When casting Faye, fanboys are going to have to do some sacrificing, as she can NOT be casted just based on hotness. The chick really has to be able to act sarcastic, exasperated, be a semi-smartass, yet still be sympathetic.
Christina Ricci maybe?

Kristen can't act to save her life. Hot she is but not enough acting chops.

Cowboy Bebop is the only anime I like...no...love. So I have one thing to say: IF THEY SCREW THIS UP I WILL HUNT EACH ONE RESPONSIBLE DOWN AND HURT THEM. AS LONG AS I HAVE BREATH, ANYTHING THEY LOVE I WILL LAY TO WASTE. I SWEAR THEY WILL SURFER.

Could be awesome.. but gosh darnit Fox!

Jim Halpert as Spike? I can't see it.

Yeah, Christina Ricci could actually be a good Faye. I adore her.

As for Spike, I have such a hard time. But definitely not John Krasinski, or Keanu Reeves.

Wow she would fit so well, I can that. Now if only whoever is going to produce it would use her. I have no idea on who would play Spike, better be some one good and who can act. I love the show, its one of my favorite animes. Also they better do a trilliogy, set up storylines and such.

Wow...Ricci would really work for the role of Faye...I would never have even considered it until you posted those pics.

not only that, but he has the look...

I bought the entire Cowboy Bebob dvd collection in 2004.
Ever since i watched the first episode , i hoped that Keanu would one day take one the role of Spike.

The guy really looks the part and Spike isn't the world's biggest talker. He's quite calm . Same with Keanu.

And here comes "hopefully " the best part. Like you said , if Erwin Stoff is producing Keanu might be cast as Spike.
According to IMDB , Stoff is Keanu's manager/agent

These are all the movies he's produced and Keanu has starred in :D

Stompanato (2010) (pre-production) (producer)

The Day the Earth Stood Still (2008) (post-production) (producer)

Street Kings (2008) (producer)

The Lake House (2006) (executive producer)

A Scanner Darkly (2006) (producer)

Constantine (2005) (producer)

Hard Ball (2001) (executive producer)

Sweet November (2001) (producer)

The Replacements (2000) (executive producer)

The Matrix (1999) (executive producer)

The Devil's Advocate (1997) (executive producer)

Feeling Minnesota (1996) (executive producer)

Chain Reaction (1996) (executive producer)

Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey (1991) (co-producer)

Street Kings was made ( i think) by Fox whereas The Day The Earth Stood still remake is just distributed thru Fox.

What about SAm Rockwell as Spike? HEs got the dry humor i think but Im skeptical about the action

How can you recreate my most favorite anime show of all time? Seriously.... There isn't one actor I've seen who could do Spike. He is one unique looking character, if they F**K up this movie I'm gonna hunt down the people behind this. This show deserves the best because it is.

IF there's no actor that can portray Spike, the mere existence of the movie would be a **** up then, wouldn't it?

yea that's how I feel about this... but then again there are alot of low-time actors that I'm sure could pull it off. When I think of Spike and try to pick an actor, nothing comes to my mind. :(
