LL On Avengers

What's the big issue here? He's talking about an evil incarnation of Hulk. He's not saying he wants the classic Hulk to be eating people. I hate the cannibalism angle, but it's hard to say it couldn't work without seeing how they would handle it. After this film, it's uncharted territory no matter how you look at it.

The Hulk is not a werewolf, cannibal, man eater. Anyone who thinks thats cool, well, thats like saying Spider-man should be a body fluid drinking vampire.

...Er... but the cannibalism was only a tiny, tiny part of The Ultimates version of Hulk. Personally, I have no problem with them going with a fight like "The Ultimates #5"- actually, that would totally blow away my expectations and be phenomenal.

You'd be surprised at how many people would find that cool. Its a Hot-Topic shirt waiting to happen.

And Hulk isn't EVIL either. He's been a jerk at times, yes. But never flat out evil unless there's some mind control thing involved. Seriously if Hulk is the villain in the Avengers movie I might just root for him.

I could see these 2 films handled by LL:

1. Iron Fist
2. Moon Knight

Aw man, after Unleashed LL handling Iron Fist would be a dream.

It'd be interesting to see how Leterrier handles a property like Runaways.

I actually love the idea of using that first arc of The Ultimates as a jumping off point for the film; focusing on an out of control Hulk as the impetus for bringing the team together.

Oh, I hope not. 616 straight is way too cheesy to enjoy. A blend of the 616 and Ultimate versions would be ideal.

No, Ultimate sucks ass, there's nothing cheesy about 616.

Iron man the film was pretty much all 616 apart from Fury.

There's also him being a mass murdering, sex crazed brute. Add these two things to the cannibalism and there you have a hulk that shouldn't even be in the comics, let alone a movie.

Curious like Leterrier makes a little comment about something he WOULD like to see and everyone alredy gets their guns and torchs.

And i don't think he refered to the Kick-Ass Ultimate Hulk by itself. He only said he would like something like that, a EVIL Hulk. And the fight would be kick ass. Just watch ''Ultimate Avengers'' ending.

The Ultimates is a great comic book that desearves to head to the big screen.

Why would he even want to make Hulk evil? Just have him misunderstood, like a creature goes on a rampage, killing lots of people, tearing down buildings and hulk gets the blame, so the avengers go after him but it's revealed it wasn't hulk and he joins up with them to take on the big bad guy. See, no need to make him evil or a cannibal or anything like ultimate hulk.

BTW there are a couple of things I like about Ultimate hulk, firstly his base strength seems to exceed 616 hulk and his ability to evolve to the situation, see in ultimate human.

Actually, from what I understand Ultimate Hulk is significantly weaker than the 616 Hulk, and outside of Ultimate Human, doesn't have his main X-factor (Anger = Strength).

Fine. But not before The Avengers.

616 Hulk has the ability to evolve too. He's evolved into being able to breathe in space/water. And didnt someone establish that it was his fights with Wolverine that caused him to "grow" his own (superior) healing factor? Or was I dreaming?

I thought Hulk can just hold his breathe for a long time?

EDIT: I just remembered he does have them but Ultimate hulks seemed alot better.

Ultimates - Ultimate Universe "Avengers"
616 - The Avengers

Yes, I know that.

He can't breath in space. :whatever:

My idea is to have everyone that is directing the solo films help produce The Avengers, and I'm sure someone would stop this "man-eating" Hulk nonsense.

Wiki disagree's with you, I will try to find a more reliable source though.

I would appreciate it. Wiki isn't the best. But the fact is, there is no air in space, so breathing there, no matter how evolved a creature is, is totally impossible.

What I like about Ultimate Hulk is that it's about releasing aggression in all forms. It's the purest form of freedom and doesn't limit itself to just anger. It's like everything Banner wants to say and do but without that part telling him "That's not right" or some kind of reasoning. It's just "I want it. **** it. I'll take it. That pisses me off. Kill it." It really is closer to what a true representation of a real life Hulk would be. The whole point is that Hulk wouldn't say "That's not right. Wrecking a whole building however is no problem." The guy doesn't reason like that. Hulk doesn't reason.

Now with THAT said, that is what makes the regular Hulk loveable as well. That he has proven that he has some kind of conscience despite being this uncontrollable beast. This Hulk actually has some level of control in that when he's angry he has severe tunnel vision and just goes straight for what pisses him off until it's vanquished. Once that's done he just kind of wanders around like a lost puppy until he reverts or something else pisses him off and gets him going again.

My point is there's room for both characters. I happen to like them both. I don't get all the hate towards Ultimate Hulk just because he doesn't have that moral compass that the regular Hulk does. I think the hate comes more from the fact that his acts are of such a questionable nature that it's really hard to consider him a hero. I have no problem with that. Let him be a beast. Let his status be ambiguous. I like Ultimate Hulk being neutral and his status as hero and villain changing depending on the circumstances.

Sorry for the long post. I just never liked all the Ultimate Hulk bashing when the guy's a genuinely fun character to read. The things that come out of his mouth is pure gold.
