Logan Logan's Lead Villain! Boyd Holbrook is DONALD

I have a feeling this is a Mandarin-style red herring and Sinister will be the true villain of the film.

I had to Google this Donald dude.

Does he not have a cooler "X-Men type" name?! :funny:

YEAH! Cannot wait to see Donald Pierce.

From the description we got I think this Donald Pierce will be more like Coldblood from Iron Man 3.

I don't think most of the Hellfire Club had codenames. Sebastian Shaw and Emma Frost fall under the same category. The most you get are the chess ranks (Shaw is the Black King, Frost is the White Queen). I think Donald Pierce was the White Bishop for a time.

You're right.

In fact except for Emma Frost, most of them were referred to their real names 90% of the time in the Chris Claremont era.

Donald Pierce was the White Bishop during the dark phoenix saga, but in his next appearance was dismissed from the Hellfire club and later became the leader of the Reavers.

Shaw,Frost, and even Leland were members of the Hellfire club for longer periods of time than Pierce. He was missing from the second Hellfre story in Uncanny 151-152.

I always assumed those were the codenames. But a lot of Hellfire Club members were called by their name/surname and Emma Frost is the only one really well known for her Hellfire Club codename/title. Plus the members of the Hellfire Club keep changing. Magneto/M are current members of the Hellfire Club now.

He better be. There's no reason in this day and age to avoid robotics. Especially if we're getting Mr.Sinister of all people down the line.

When the wolverine had a huge robotic silver samurai suit... i am sure it doesn't matter whether Mr.Sinister there or not.

I like it. Pearce fits into an end of days setting. Bit Mad Max and it's working.

Slightly different from the comics, but if you remember the characters' lore, he goes from prim and proper Hellfire Club member with the poofy shirt duds to a more grungy cyborg with random cybernetics to him.

A similar character called Stryfe also played a major part in the Legacy Virus trilogy. Probably the most commonly heard of non-comic *book(s) of the X-Men, but still isn't that well known. I didn't know it was a thing when I bought the 3-in-1. I learned that years after in college when a girl asked if I read that and I was like, "the only X-Men novel I read! Jackpot!" We then became friends. :D Jk, we were already friends. :( I can't make friends easy. Lol.

How should they portray Donald Pierce in this film?

In the comics he became a bigoted child killing monster. I got to admit it would be fun to watch wolverine rip apart a villain who deserved it, so I would make the movie version as vile as the comic version.

Definitely one of the highlights of the film for me. He was delightfully smarmy.

I was disappointed when it comes to his combat skills. He didn't really do much. I doubt that he was a mutant too.
