Comics Official WOLVERINE ORIGINS Discussion Thread

I really shouldn't bump this thread but I wanna say I'm Free!!! I dropping this waste of paper this piece of crap this this (insert obsenaty here).

If it picks up I'kll buy the trade. Finally I'm saving money.

Id rather whipe a monkey's @$$ than buy another issue.

So what do you all think - how does this comic get better?

- Drop the current team......they are just....bad.
- Get some real storylines.....ones that make a difference. Wolverines son showing up could be a good story - if done right.

I don't know, I am just so disapointed.

Wolverine: Origins could have been cool but it ended up being just plain boring. Part of this is the art. Kind of stale. And there's even more of a contrast between good and bad now that the main Wolverine title has Bianci and Loeb.

Agree. It could have been amazing...but coulda woulda shouda. I am such a huge Wolvie fan that I will continue getting it each month though.......in hopes that it will get better.

Wow. I guess I'm the only fan of this book then. But then again I'm already used to this style from MK Punisher. The stories are just what I expect them to be. A little sidestory from the Wolverine main book. Nothing that really affects the Marvel univserse (except Dum Dead Dugan). Just fun excuse for gratuitous violence and moments that make you go "ah. so that's what that is.". Nothing more...I really don't see the problem with this book. It's not nearly as bad as Blade.

^Not many things are as bad as Blade.....true. The fact that Logan now remembers ALL just makes me want to come back......and back......just to see what happens.

Yeah I can't seem to stay away from this book either. Daken interests me now that we've finally had a decent look at him. Of course X23 interests me too. I am curious to see how these two children of Logan (sorta) compare to one another.

^Same here. Of course Laura is being done so much better!!!!!! But still, wonder what will happen when these two meet....or these three meet.

I don´t dislike "Origins". Yeah, it has a lot of unfulfilled ideas and it´s slooowwww, but I´m still following the story with a certain interest. I´m more disappointed with the regular series...the art is amazing but this endless Logan/Victor fight is totally uninteresting. The only good thing so far was the Silver Fox flashback.
Who knows, maybe the story will improve. There´s still hope.

^Yeah, I was really looking for the Wolverine title to more than it has been also. The fight with Logan and Victor was really hyped....and all we got is Storm breaking them up....yawn. I am really suprised that there has not been more thought to Origins or Wolverine by the big wigs. But as always....I have hope!

He's in Iron man 15, unless wolverine origins is now somehow set after civil war.

Oh who knows anymore. Cap is still gonna be in X-23, the whole X universe has to wait unitil AXM get back from space, Sabertooth is fighting Wolverine between saving Rogue and I am sure Jean Grey is in one of the current books.

I just found out last night that Joey Q said that dugan was stabbed but not killed, so he's alive.

Well I read the latest issue. I don't know if Cyber's back history is spot on, it seems a bit unbelievable, but hey, it is only a comic. I am curious to see what Cyber has to do with Daken. :)

i like it. ive liked his main title more, but hey. wolverine is wolverine. i do think dillon was a wierd pick for the artist though.

I am not sure I have heard one person say nice things about the art in this book. I think it's too stiff and cold and not suited for an action book like this. The book would better with someone else at the pencils.

^Yep, totally agree. It just doesnt seem like......Logan (the art that is). I read issue 12 also, I thought the whole Cyber comeing back thing was a bit lame....but like you said, its a comic. I also dont like how Daken is being handled/drawn yet...but its still early.

the main thing i dont like about dillons work is all of his faces look the same. no matter what. logan looks just like frank castle looks. even his ultimates annual. nick fury just looked like nick fury because he was black.

same reason why finchs art bugs me some times. hes got the same problem with the faces.
