Long and SPOILER filled synopsis of Thor Ragnarok

I dont think it was shown anymore, but Hela was the first recipient of his lighning in the final fight. It was so intense that she gets thrown off.

It's stated in the movie that the longer Hela stays on Asgard, the more powerful she becomes.
soooo how she managed to destroy Mjölnir???

some people say she was capable of doing that because she is worthy.

^^ it's shown on the murals that she wielded Mjolnir when she was still Odin's executioner, with Skurge by her side.

That's how Skurge got the executioner title too. She wanted him to fill that post now that she's lording over Asgard.

interesting.

one more question.

Draeck said that Valkyrie plays with the Hulk so she is strong.

what kind of play was that I wonder???

The playing around is more on dialogue, it wasn't shown that they're hitting each other :)

I think it was meant to imply that Valkyrie usually visits Hulk's chambers and more or less knows him.

It's hard not to enjoy the film, even with the insanely amount of humor. It looked glorious on imax :)

yeah, true.

I admit, I'm a very picky person so when it comes to this type of movie where i expect a serious tone, i probably won't like it THAT much.

BUT they can surprise me.

oh sorry for bumping again.

you said "throw off".

she fell from the Bifrost or she was pushed back a little bit by Thor's attacks which did no damage at all??

No, they were fighting at the palace's balcony when Thor manifested his lightning. Suffice to say, Hela showed no signs of damage later in the Bifrost.

Did she get knocked far away when he attacked her?

Thanks a lot for writing this out in so much detail Draeck. Really helps me remember the bits that I couldn't remember as clearly.

^^ it's not shown.

Basically what happened was Hela has Thor pinned down on the balcony, ready to stab him with a blade. Then Thor has a vision of Odin and charges up, light fills the screen and it's implied that it throws Hela off. Cut to next scene.

Where does she get thrown to?
I watched the movie so I can tell you.

she was hit by Thor's most powerful lighting (it was a surprise attack) attack and she fell down in the courtyard (presumably) which she breaks on the impact obviously.

later on, she kicks both Thor's and Valkyrie's assess.

I can give you the details if you want.

Actually, it's not Hela that falls to the Courtyard, it's Thor. I noticed that on my second viewing, it's definitely a male wearing Thor's armor. He blasts her with an incredibly strong lightning blast, the balcony they're on crumbles and he falls to the Courtyard but we don't actually see what happens to Hela.

In the later scene when Hela is walking towards them on the Bifrost, Loki tells Thor to hit her with a strike of lightning and Thor tells him that he already hit her with the biggest strike of lightning of all time and it did nothing.

So Thor destroyed the ground when he landed in the courtyard? Nice

hm it was him???

it could be.

didn't Valkyrie said to hit her with lightning???

Yep, pretty damn sure it was Thor.

It was Loki who said it, I think that exchange took place before Valkyrie joined them after crashing the Commodore into the Rainbow Bridge. Then Loki leaves them to get Surtur's skull out of the vault and Thor and Valkyrie stay behind to try to fight Hela and keep her occupied, though she trounces them again.

yeah, it could.

I was talking to a friend so I probably missed.

yeah, then Thor and Valkyrie vs Hela happened which was one sided.

Loki found the Eternal Flame.

revived Surtur.

Hela stabbed Surtur big time (he did felt it) then he hit Hela and nuked Asgard.

Yes, the Hela vs Surtur fight wasn't actually as one sided as I thought it would be. He very nearly fell at one point when she was driving the huge spiky things out of the ground and skewering him from different angles. But he didn't and in the end he was just too strong for her. Very interesting, ambiguous ending. Where did they both disappear to?? When Thor and the surviviors are looking out of the ship's window at Asgard imploding at the end there's no sign of either of them. Hela I can understand because she would have been tiny, but surely they would have been able to be Surtur still? Interesting.

personally, I think they will be back in the future.

you cannot bring a talent like Cate Blanchett for one freaking movie.

Same. Marvel Studios are fools if they don't bring Cate back, especially when she's openly said that she'd like to return.

You have to wonder what Surtur is up to after this movie. Is he just loose in the Universe now?? Because that's surely a bad thing... right?? :funny: You'd think someone might have said, "Uhh.., Thor? Shouldn't we try and stop that gigantic fire demon we've let loose on the Universe now?" :oldrazz:
