And all the other INO comicbook films you can remember. What do you all think of them now? Are they still the nadir of comicbook movie-dome and stuff?

Uh...is it still a crappily written, acted, and directed box of s**t that rapes the character of Catwoman? Yes?

Then it still sucks.

I still think they are mediocre movies that missed a lot of opportunities to be great... and I still don't care about them enough to hate them... perhaps people who get Catwoman comics in their box every month feel differently... :)

just as crappy as when it was unleashed.

at least B&R is amusing in its ineptitude. CINO is just an eyesore.

I wanted my money back after watching that piece of crap in theaters and I got to see it for free :cmad:

That's funny, for me it's the other way around.

Regardless, I had this question... when you see CINO, do you say/think

"See-No"

or

"Key-No"

Just curious... I always say "See-No", but the C in Catwoman is a hard C.

I say "See-no" too. it's a hard C when followed by an A, not so with an I.

never seen it and never will..maybe I will see just to say how bad you people say it is....then bragg about how actually bad it is after watching it

I personally hate when anyone refers to anything other than Catwoman as "-INO". CINO is the only film deserving of that title, and calling the Spider-Man films SMINO just because you have minor discrepancies with it just undermines how bad CINO really was. With CINO, it really did mean In Name Only. It was barely an exaggeration. Think about it. Different city, different identity, different origin, abilities, day job, love interest, costume, motives, personality. Everything! So basically, the fact that the American Godzilla was still a giant radioactive lizard makes it automatically no longer worthy of being called GINO.

It's debatable.

The godzilla thing is still INO. Godzilla just can't be giant lizard smashing up a city... it has to be cheesy and have some sort of message about the dangers of radioactivity... actually I don't know a darn thing about godzilla except that I love the 1984 movie that came on tv one afternoon.

Anyway I agree not just anything is INO. I wouldn't dare call Adam west's batman INO but I'd gladly call clooney batman and to some extent Kilmer batman INO. Hell you might even find a few folks around here call Batman Returns INO.

In that sense it's very subjective. Perhaps we should dedicate some time to figuring out all the requirements for different levels of INO status.

In addition to all of this, I just found it completely unenjoyable. I can't recall a single moment during this "movie" that I was the least bit entertained.
BTW-what other "INO" movies do you mean?

Essentially, if there was any comic book movie that some troll fanboy hated, he used "INO" to express how horrible/unfaithfull it is.

For example, when people were b***hing about Superman Returns, they called him "SINO," or, "Superman in Name Only."

That kinda thing.

No, I know what it means, I just wondered what other examples there were. I know of Godzilla-which I actually like & found more enjoyable than the Japanese version. But many cases of "INO"-ism are abuse of the term, in that they are used simply b/c that particular fan just didn't like the movie. I think it should only apply to DRASTIC deviations from the original concept, not altertaions you just don't agree with. Since the comic book Catwoman was simply a very clever & agile thief who adopted a cat motif & what we saw in the movie was some lame Crow knockoff, the only things taken from the comic are the name & the weapon so it's clearly IN NAME ONLY. Don't slap the label on everything. Eddie Murphy's Nutty Professor movies might also apply here.

The Nutty Professor movies were remakes? :wow:

But the requirements ARE figured out. It's in the title, in NAME only. Meaning if they share any similarities other than the name, and maybe a few things that could just coincidentaly go along with the name anyways (ie: someone named Catwoman is very likely a woman dressed like a cat), then it applies. The basic test for whether something could be called -INO should be to start naming whatever similarities you can find, and if you find one other than the name, it doesn't count. Let's see, what did Batman and Robin have in common with the comics? He lived in Gotham City! There you go, it cant be called BINO. The American "Godzilla" may have changed a lot, but it was still a giant radioactive lizard. Maybe if they'd have made it a giant puppy it could be GINO.

Get what I'm saying? CINO meant Catwoman In Name Only for a reason, and it's annoying to see it plastered around for the tiniest changes for just about every comic movie.

She was hot, that's the only requirement I have for catwoman.

um... ok. But I still can't see batman and robin as anything but B&RINO.

Check out the Batman comics of the 40's and 50's. It's all there, man. Batman fighting crime (in broad daylight), walking around smiling, with Robin, Batgirl, Batwoman, Batmite and Ace the Bathound. The most colourful, ridiculous comics you'll ever come across. One time, Batman even took time out to visit the mall to buy Superman a birthday present. No, I'm not joking.

   What? Since when is Batman and Robin accurate to anything but ******ation?

You don't need to inform me that there have been bad batman comics, dude. I know this. ;)

Even if the film was a tribute to them, it's still garbage to me anyway... I guess.

Yeah, it's garbage, but it's still as faithful to the comics as any Batman movie.

Sorry kevin, but catwoman isnt related to the comics in any way. Where is gotham city? Patience Price??? Sharon Stone character??? Different catwomans in all the world??? I dont remember any comic with that stuff.

I love this part of the speech Halle Berry gave at the Golden Raspberry awards:
"First of all, I want to thank Warner Brothers. Thank you for putting me in this piece of ****, God-awful movie... It's just what my career needed."
