Lots of trouble watching any videos on my laptop

A few weeks ago I've been having trouble watching any type of online videos on my computer. Whether it is youtube or any other videos that you can watch online. At first it would barely play a quarter of the videos. I've downloaded new versions of flash player twice and so far the first time it would only play half of the way and now just 3/4 of the way. But with others it barely plays a few seconds of it.

I try to view them on mozilla firefox. And I have Window's XP.

So any help at all would be much appreciated .

Have you uninstalled/reinstalled Firefox? Does this also happen when you watch non-interweb videos?

Oh no I've only updated Firefox but never uninstalled it.

No it only happens when I watch videos on the internet

uninstall and delete any mozilla firefox folders you have, then reinstall it. Make sure you back up your bookmarks, though.

how do i back up all my bookmarks?

Bookmarks>Organize, and then look for EXPORT BOOKMARKS. Save the html file onto your desktop. When you reinstall it, just import the saved file.
