Ok, first I want to preface this by saying the commercials made it look really good. Second, I read a write up about how great it was on IO9. But I can tell you from first hand experience that people look at you very weirdly when 2 grown 30 year olds go watch the LEGO Movie. If you have kids go see it, they will love it. If your an adult, barring some kind of LEGO fetish, wait till you can rent or download it

I saw it today too. Fortunately despite not having a kid with me I was able to see it without strange looks. The theater was already dark and the trailers had just started so I went mostly unnoticed... although the place was packed with kids and parents I couldn't tell if there were any parent-less adults in the audience.

There are so many of these child targeted films that are well done enough to be appreciated by adults these days that I am sure the number of people feeling weird about going to them without a child in tow is pretty high. I count myself in the number. I am 37 and I really want to see the LEGO movie. But... Yeah.... Hmm... I got me a 3 year old niece though.... Hmm... Maybe it's time I gave my brother and sister in law a nice night off from parenting?

Just going off of what you've posted on here about how you treat your friends and the people in your life you shouldn't be surprised when someone does something without giving a thought about your permission or compliance.

Well, fact is in real life the only good friends I have are my animals. And my friends that I can trust with my life who aren't narcissistic *****e bags I treat like gold. At least they are normal organisms that don't drug my drinks and take advantage of me in a state where I have no power to refuse being molested. I have done nothing to warrant this level of destructive behavior at all just being quiet, doing what I normally do and minding my own business. What is happening here is nothing more than plain anger at their failings and jealousy that I am not as weak as they are for putting everyone they care about at risk because of the unsavory people they deal with and have misplaced their trust in.

It's not my fault some people, my family included, are way too trusting for their own good. I've tried to sensibly warn them about certain people but they didn't listen to me. No one ever listens to the sensible, observant, vigilant person because I'm an utter square for not being as idiotic and trusting every friendly face I see. In my experience the consistently friendlier the face the more apt they are just deceiving you. You don't snare prey with a foul bait.

In short, I'd rather be entertained by someone grumpy and honest than someone pleasant and deceitful.

No confusion necessary. There's only so much abuse both mental and physical one person can take from all these fake nice people before you decide to cut them out completely. I've had it with the rude behavior from these non friends and family members who think by acting overly nice then stabbing me in the back will gain my trust. This has been happening for far too many years now and I've decided it's time to violently cut loose some ties that are dragging me down. When you've put your trust in people who acted nice to you as a con only to be harmed and betrayed in the end you'll understand me completely.

I've been ****ed over by people. I just roll on tho. I don't dwell on it or talk about it in the lounge randomly. You go on about this often. Might be time to find a therapist cause you seem to have a lot of issues in your life you need to work through. Mostly social and relationship issues...

I have to say, I honestly prefer it to some of the other overly crazy and silly posts constantly ending up in here. This is a place to talk about all sorts of things. If some choose the Lounge to vent, I don't have a problem with that.

It keeps a nice balance in here.
