My friend Jules was talking to her Grandma who is about to turn 100 and she stated "I think God forgot about me. My husband is dead, all my friends are dead, I don't think he knows I'm still here".

We laughed and laughed. But man that is depressing. I don't think I'd want to make it past 80 unless I could be part cyborg our have my mind uploaded to the internet.

This season of Ray seems like it went by too fast. Like it only just started.

that's true. i thought tonight was only episode 9 or 10. but they said the finale is next week... I'm not even sure if it went the full 12 or not but they did get renewed for season 5.

I don't see why they shouldn't. They report things, make original content, entertain people in various ways like in lots of of types of media.

There's no reason for them not to be compensated for putting work into something.

It would be similar to saying that someone that only published books online shouldn't be paid since they're not 'really' published.

Once a channel gets a certain number of followers it starts generating revenue for advertisers and Google so the owner of the channel should get a kickback.

I just hate how YouTube has turned into a money making service instead of a hobby. People who make videos just for money and not because they actually like it shouldn't be payed. I hate how it's gone from original content and good videos to creating brands and people being like "buy our t-shirts" blah blah blah

Everything turns out like that eventually but there's still a ton of original content everyday.

There's a guy that spent two years animating a Dark Souls 2 cartoon. It's hilarious and very well done. If he made a bunch of t-shirts that had lines from it would you get mad at him?

I'm glad youtube is implementing new rules, content-makers like LeafyIsHear and Pyrocynical should be banned from YouTube, all they do is bully people.
