Even though it excluded so much of what made the pilot movie so good (the social commentary, the African assistants, Dr. Hawkins being the sole creator of the M.A.N.T.I.S. technology, etc.), I'll probably still get this DVD.

Agreeing with KenK. I think the show would have been richer (though who can say how long it would have lasted) had they kept the core of the pilot movie intact.
