World X Men: TAS on DVD? Amazon.co.uk says so!

is this for real? if it is, it might be worth paying to have it shipped over.

kinda wish it was a whole season 1 set though. 7 episodes kinda sucks

These are being released by Liberation Entertainment in the UK. Thay have a whole list of releases coming.

Considering the past two spider man and Hulk releases... it will be a completely bare bones release, consisting of just a couple episodes.

Plus, I believe the DVD episodes are just about video quality.

its for real and the season will come on two DVDs totalling £15.98 so a total of 13 episodes. No special features listed just the episodes. Considering our wait I'd say its worth it.

As for video quality. I'm watching batman:TAS i got today and the video quality isn't great either

Are you talking about the DVD season sets of Batman: TAS?

the quality of those are of much greater quality...

This is from a World's Finest review of the spider-man disc from the same company:

The audio and video is a shade or two above VHS-quality, which makes sense given the nature of this release. Don't expect anything on par with the Buena Vista Home Entertainment releases, but it's not too bad by any means. The quality is still watchable and is much better than the previous VHS releases of these particular episodes. I am sure some will be disappointed by this. Regardless, the audio and video quality is slightly above average and basically on par with the transfer quality we've seen on DVD releases for other 1990's animated series.

Overall, it will probably be very much worth it!

Yes I got Season one of Batman:TAS yesterday.Season one still has crackles and noise and the audio is fuzzier than I would normally expect but its from the 90's I cut it some slack. Personally I'm hoping that the transfers will be of Fox Kids/Jetix TV quality. I have VHS recordings of Jetix airings from years ago. I don't expect money for restoration to be flung around nevertheless I'm grateful they are finally releasing them. I just don't see why it couldn't be a double disk set instead of two volumes. They do multiple discs for spiderman and iron man unless they want this to appeal to the kids and their pocket money. (which I don't mind at all, the more kids seeing this masterpiece of animation the better!)

What unbelievably crappy box art for all the marvel shows.

As bad as the voice acting is on the show you're better off.

Does it have subtitles? I'm deaf.

Mine should arrive next week, I'll tell you then.

In good news, it went on official sale on tuesday and amazon.co.uk are already saying that they only have one left (of course they said that last time I ordered a book, the next day they had two left)

subtitles are in english. It has the trailer for Wolverine and the X Men. Animated menus and brief clip on how the picture quality was restored.

I got Volume 1 last week. I can't wait for the next one.

Disney must really hate America for only letting other countries get these sets. Any chance that any are region 1?

yeah ive got it on dvd!i got it in hmv in dublin for €18
the quality is brilliant and its got a feature that shows you how damaged it was from being traveled to place to place.:xmen::xmen::xmen:

what a bad cover, no?

the pain has nothing to do with the real design of the characters...

I'm watching this right now. If they continue to release 7 episodes per DVD we're gonna get around 13 DVDs in total...
