MacGruber: The Movie?

The only movie I can see the mainstream getting behind is a Palin spoof movie. The Palin skits are the only time anyone outside the core fanbase has been interested in the show, at least in the last several years.

Yes, but Tina Fey has stated that she's done playing Palin.

I realize that, but that's the only SNL movie I could see working right now.

MacGruber is the most irritating sketch in SNL history. Both because it's really bad, and because it's used a lot. I have watched maybe 4 episodes of SNL in the past 2 years, and a MacGruber sketch has popped up in all of them, which makes me believe he is in every freaking episode.

I've watched a bunch of SNL and yes MacGruber not only pops up in every one Ive seen but he pops up about 4 + times in one show. It really is the WORST sketch in the entire history of SNL. I cant believe how many people find him funny..wtf is wrong with people?

If anything, make a movie with Andy Samberg and Justin Timberlake as the "Dick in a Box" guys. Guaranteed box office gold and there's a chance it could actually be funny.

No cuz thats the SECOND worst sketch in SNL history.

Oh, come on, it's hilarious. I'm unsure on how the heck they'd make that concept into a movie, though.

I hate "Narnia" "Dick in a Box" "**** in my Pants" everyone of those crappy sketches. I dont get the love. At all.

The problem with SNL movies is that they always pick characters that only work for 2 minutes and try to stretch it out to 80-90 mins. That dosent work. You need to use characters like Wayne and the Ladies Man where you can stretch it out.

yeah, that's the title ("it's pat"), kathy griffin stars in it as well.

Should be "buried because the movie has a director".

I saw that movie like once when I was a kid. That movie is almost completely forgotten. I think it was good from what I remember.

Val Kilmer and Ryan Phillipe?

Jes!

I wonder what the trailer for this would look like...

They need to release MacGyver before this otherwise it will come off as pointless.

Why is this film going forward? It's been almost 20 years since MacGyver was on TV, and the skits (when I've actually watch SNL) are lame as hell.

If anything, I would like to see anther Waynes World film, or anything with a Dana Carvey character.

This is going to fail. :)

so they are expecting that people will jump to watch a parody movie about a 20 year old tv show?

I would like to see another Waynes World movie than this dreck. Anyone see Mike Myers and Dana Carvey as Wayne & Garth on the MTV awards a couple years ago? The bit is still funny.
