Macross/Robotech the movie

With Transformers in full force, the script leaked on the Internet. And I read it, and just as I feared [blackout]far too human focused[/blackout] (It's not much of a spoiler, doesn't spoil the plot).

But Macross already is focused on that, and the robots are more or less background noise, eliminating the problem of robots needing to share space with the humans.

That's why I think a Macross movie would be a great idea. You don't even have to follow Robotech's "Space Opera". I think it's diverse enough you could pick and choose.

What do you guys think...Macross the Movie? Live Action?

The first episodes of Robotech would tranlate into such a great film.

I've played the Robotech Battlecry video game, but that's all my Robotech experience, so I don't really know.

You see I think it works in favor of Transformers bombing. Because while it features "Transforming robots" it takes away the two huge problems with the script of TF, it's SUPPOSE to be human focused (meaning the robots are not characters) and it features earth bound robots so you don't have to come up with wacky new alien designs.
