Looked nice. Fun action film with great humor.

Here's a hilarious Peter Stormare story from IMDB... the fact there is one makes it even more hilarious.

"I was in my local shopping centre today in and in my local Gap store, when a man came and stood next to me shopping wearing a grey hooded top, and his hood was up, i think so noone knew who he was. I happened to turn around and noticed his unique face, I've been a fan since i could walk and i got all excited seeing him! I shouted 'PETER STORMARE!' and he looked at me, his eyes wide, he quickly manoovered himself to the door and i followed him out to get an autograph. When i got outside he was running down the sidewalk, so i chased after him shouting his name, i finally caught him when he turned into a dead end round a side street.

I told him how much i love him in his movies MOSTLY Jurassic Park, Bad Company, and The Green Mile. He said 'Thanks' and i asked for an autograph and a hug. I made him sign the little picture i had of him in my purse, its a picture of him from Prison Break, posing with co-stars Wentworth and Dom.

I asked him why he chose to become known as Peter Stomare and why not did he call himself Peter Storm instead? Its much easier to say and sounds like a superhero, I love it. He agreed with me, and i think he is thinking about it (name change).

I got a picture with him that i'll try to put up soon, his got his hood up, He told me his hair was looking greasy today and didn't want to be snapped, but when i got on my knees and held his hands asked him pretty please he finally agreed."

That is really creepy and I almost don't believe all of it. I sort of can't believe a person carries around a picture of Peter Stormare around.

Fake or not, the idea of someone recognizing Peter Stormare in a store, making him drop his bags and running out the door to then be chased for three blocks while someone is shouting his name is pretty damn hilarious.

That story is pretty creepy. But I probably would react similarly if I saw him. Only I'd probably shout "KARL HUNGUS!" instead of Peter Stormare.

Those first 5 min were ****ing awesome! Hope the rest of the flicks as good.

Movie is not getting very good reviews, not sure it matters with something like this though, I believe Escape From New York didnt get good reviews back in the day either, or am I getting mixed up with The Thing?

That guy with the mohawk looks Travis Bickle like and this movie looks like a fun action movie I plan on seeing it.

Which means the movie is probably pretty entertaining for us regular folk who don't have a stick up our butts.

I thought was a fun, quick and dirty action flick. Would make for a good matinee but that's about it. Nothing truly outstanding or memorable. The plot twists and loose ends were disappointing. It did have a few interesting ideas though.

^I think it will be a lot like The A-Team movie, will get average reviews from critics but everyone who watches it will love it because it is an old-school type action movie but with modern production values.

Personally I loved The A-Team movie so if this is anything like it I will be happy.

Geez, this movie is rated lower than The Three *****es on RT. :(

Even the "positive" reviews are full of backhanded compliments, mostly saying things like "this movie makes no sense and rips off 10 other films, but it's kinda fun when Pearce is onscreen!" At least people seem to really like Pearce in the role, which (maybe) will lead to him getting more lead roles rather than always being relegated to second-tier characters.

I thought the A-Team was okay, but did not feel like an old skool action film to me. What made it feel that way to you?

This was okay. It passed the time. The acting was mostly horrible except for Pierce and the babe. One action scene looked like a video game cinematic. The promise was there but it just didn't live up. 5/10.

I couldn't understand every other word out of that guys mouth. for the most part I liked this movie though, at least the performances of the pearce and grace. i also would have liked a little more emphasis on the relationship between the two brothers. as for my gripes, there's that scene in the beginning where he's on the futuristic motor cycle. my god was that some of the sh**tiest cg i've seen from a studio film in a long time. i mean, that shot didn't add anything to the film, they could have easily had him run to his destination, since he does that for the rest of that sequence, they could have cut that scene, they really could have. but no, they just had to have the cliche motorcycle chase.

/\ Exactly! That was the first sign of, "oh no, we're in for something bad." They could have just cut that scene entirely and it still would have flowed. No idea why they shot themselves in the foot and showed that. It was PS1 level graphics.

Guy Pearce made this movie watchable and passable! Luc Besson's presence was definitely felt, it had his dialogue and action/humor elements, but it was just a mess. The only person qualified to do a Luc Besson action movie is Luc Besson imo. It's not a great movie but its a decent action sci-fi guilty pleasure. Again though Guy Pearce in this movie = brilliance. I went to a matinee and the theater was half full but roaring at his smart ass antics. So that was atleast great that the audience seemed to be enjoying his character. I liked the movie for what it was, but if you want to pick it apart then yeah, all those bad reviews from critics are about right. For what it was though, for me, an entertaining 6/10.

i guess i'm not the only one that started to worry for the film after that horrible cgi bike scene disaster.

Saw this earlier and enjoyed it. Not a classic but it's an entertaining way to kill an afternoon at the theater. Guy alone is worth the price of admission, he made the movie with his scene-chewing performance.

I just thought the ridiculousness of the action and the cast having a ton of fun gave it an old school feel, cheesy (but in a good way) bad guys as well.
