I'll be seeing this on Sunday. I don't expect this film to be great. I just hope it delivers on the action front. I just want to watch this movie to see Liam Neeson beat a crap load of bad guys.

does a lot of driving. And there's a whole sequence where her daddy does the shooting in a taxi while she drives. Lots of collisions. Including one with a train that the pursuit vehicle very stupidly gets destroyed by.

Saw liam neeson at my job tonight. He wanted to see it with an audience, but he always comes off as humble and respectful and shoke hands with a fan while he was leaving so even though I was a little disappointed with this I hope it does well for him.

Yeah, it was funny. Alot of people watching taken 2 freaked out when they saw that liam neeson was watching it with them. One guy saw him and just dropped to floor, rambling "its qui-gon!" Cant blame the guy though, I kept telling my managers that we were working today to fulfill ra's al ghul's destiny! There were a lot of callbacks to neeson movies at work today. A few of my coworkers didnt know he was Darkman until I told them.

There's WAY too much shakey cam. I couldn't even tell what was going on in the action scenes half the time.

Even if this movie doesn't crank the 100 million mark , it'll still be profitabel.
Hell the OW weekend it est. 48 million and the budget for this movie is 45 million.
Even with a steep drop next weekend , it will have made it's money back.

Everything wrong with PG-13 action happens in this. The cutaways, the shaky cam, the complete lack of blood, the complete lack of impact in the hits. Oliver Megatron ruins another franchise.

The action is watered down & lacks urgency & impact, the fast edits are ridiculous. It's been mentioned but there are several deaths that are "...... wait, that killed him?!", particularly the big boss, so you can really tell it's been edited down to PG13.

Keep in mind though, the first Taken was also PG13 but got a directors cut on DVD so I'm keeping my fingers crossed for that to happen with 2.

I enjoyed it. It is exactly what I expected it would be, Liam Neeson being a bad ass. I wasn't crazy about the shaky cam but it also did not ruin the movie for me.
