I've been thinking about two lines in this movie that greatly foreshadow Magneto's fate. First he says to Callisto "Let me assure you no needle shall ever touch my skin again", and later in his forest speech, he says "And if any mutants should stand in our way, we will use this poison against them!"... Well, at the end of the movie,
Magneto gets hit with the cure darts and loses his powers
! Ironic much? :D

If irony were made of strawberries, we'd all be drinking a lot of smoothies right now

He may have the last laugh yet (if we go beyond X3). Kinda like when he was made into a baby and become renewed with great ability.

He didn't really lose his powers. He moved the king a bit while playing chess.

And aren't the cure darts made of plastic? So he's right and wrong, but I think he meant that no "metal" needle would ever touch him again, since they were talking about powers and marks when he made that statement.

This pisses me off. Magneto losing his powers. Damn X-Men. I want Pyro to fry them all.
