Magneto Scene Deleted

Let's watch the movie first to see how it plays out...

But anyways, the whole point about Magneto IS to make like look noble and justified in his actions.

The difference is, he goes too extreme, and puts people in danger with his methods. The X-Men are there to try to stop the chaos.

As far as the scene goes, sounds awesome, I'd love to see it, minus teh beard and camo gear.

Magneto has done stuff like that constantly, it'd be totally in character for him to do it here.

I saw it last night, and it just seemed like the x-men agenda was to stop magneto and they really didn't care much about the cure

but IMO, this movie makes magneto seem almost honrable in his intentions and the x-men look like traitors.........

It's never black and white. There's always grey areas. I was thinking the other day that its strange Storm is very vocal about the cure being a bad thing, yet she's fighting against Magneto. I think its very unrealistic. A rational person who's very existance is threatened by the cure would not fight to protect it. Magneto's actions aren't evil, just rational. He's doing what he thinks he has to do to survive.

I don't think the X-Men are fighting to save the cure, so much as they are fighting to stop Magneto from killing a bunch of people on his quest.

I haven't seen the movie yet, Joker, so I can't tell you how it's played out. But, if I recall correctly, I think you and I have different views on X-Men, and X2 as it is, so if you see X-Men 3 one way, I'll probably view it in another.

exactly, and that why I like magneto, he's a survivor, I just think the x-mens actions were unreasnable, wouldn't they have helped the brotherhood stop the cure, and then made sure magneto doesn't go any farther, i.e. take over the world......

Because it's not in the X-Men's style to fight the cure. Some of the members may not like it, but they know every mutant should have the right to decide if it's right or not, on there own.

I liked x1, and loved x2, I liked x3 but thought it was the weakest overall

but the HUMANS ARE SHOOTING IT AT EVERY MUTANT...... the humans are takiing magnetos role from the first film, trying to change people unwillingly, shouldn't they stop them???

Well, Joker, you know more then me, cause I haven't seen the movie yet so I don't know all that is going on.

Even if they didn't fight it, they had no reason to protect it. Remember, the cure was presented as the SOLUTION to mutation.

well IMO, it felt like the x-men were doing the wrong thing, that even though they didn't like the cure, they didn't want to stop it, their first goal was to stop magneto, which was stupid because he was looking out for all mutants because humans were going to cure every mutant

it would be like the americans helping the nazis because we didn't agree with France at the time

What about those mutants that think their mutation is a disease? Are you saying they are wrong in believing that the cure is the solution?

there's other problems too

what happens to beast at the end
and magneto

nope, I'm not, I;m saying the x-men went after magneto in X1 because he wanted to change all the leaders into mutants??? correct?? 100% understandable, they were there to stop caos

now the tables turned, the humans want to change all mutants into humans, the mutants don't have a choice, but now, the x-men are fighting the brotherhood for not wanting the cure forced on them???

Well, lets not talk about that then since I haven't seen the movie. ;)

Yes, but Mag's is taking to a degree where people are DYING. I think that's what the X-Men are fighting for.

which I understand, BUT magneto isn't going after inocent people, he's going after the lab where the cure is, and trying to stop it from being forced on unwilling mutants......

Its their choice whether to take the cure or not, but that's not the problem. The problem is that if they hadn't been treated like it was wrong to be different they wouldn't want the cure because they would think that they were o.k are they were.

we need to start a thread for people who have seen the movie, and want to discuss it

So he randomly throws a beard on Magneto to make him look like a terroist?Thats the most ******ed thing I've heard in my life. Good thing that scene got deleted.

Magneto with a beard?? THat's kinda odd...very very odd!!

whoa! what have been a great scene 2 really show how evil Magneto really is. cant wait till friday.

She's fighting him to protect the people. Phoenix is more a of threat than Magneto is.
