^Sinister is too a mutant!

I hope you're joking cause i don't want to have to explain sinister's orgin. Oh well to make it short. Doctor named Nathaniel Essex in either 17th or 18th century london studies human gnome, knows that humanity will evolve, is ahead of his time, meets Apocalypse and tell him what he is who in turn uses Celestial tech to make him superhuman.

I know his origin thank you...but Apocolypse made him a mutant/inhuman. So, he is now a mutant with powers. For the sake of the movieverse...ie Juggernaut...they will make Sinister a mutant. However, It was recently revealed that this ability was derived from the cells of the mutant Courier in the late 19th Century, and not from any of Apocalypse's manipulations. Sinister may also have some telepathic abilities, like making people pass out. He also has energy blasting abilities, but how he procured them is uncertain. In other words, Sinister may have already been a mutant.

I think the only possible villian for Magneto is Nazi's, cause he himself pretty much IS a villian, and I dont recall any mutants being against him, except for the Xmen and apocalypse.

How about a cameo from Captain America in the beginning when he saves young magneto from the clutches of the nazis.
And have the nazi leader like that ultimate alien version or something.

Captain America would be cool to see, but his rights are at Paramount.

Wasn't Magneto a member of the Hellfire Club at one point? Pre-Phoenix Saga(the real one)?
I think he was????

interesting.. perhaps Mr. Sinister, Nathaniel Essex.. or even the High Evolutionary, Herbert Edgar Wyndham...

I know that he gained his shape shifting ability from Courier as well as having control over the cells in his body. The powers that came from Apacalypse was extended life and a strong mallable body. As for the energy blasts and some telepathic abilty you can also add teleportation and genetic safeguards in his dna to protect him from other mutants. Sinister always boasted that no mutant on Earth is a threat to him save for Apocalypse and the Scarlett Witch or a mutant he hadn't catalogued or was unknown to him. The extra powers he got he probably attained the same way he got his shape shifting powers from Courier. He obviously some how genetically altered himself to protect himself from other Mutants.

I didn't know that. Who were the other members? Magneto would have still been older Pre Phoenix saga. I read he's supposed to be in his mid 20's for this youg Magneto movie. Hasn't been confirmed, but I did read that.

Not true, he's been at odds with other Mutants, I know he would frown upon the Hellfire club and what Shaw does. I don't know if Magneto ever crossed paths with Shaw, but it'll be good to use him as a possiable villian.

I think it's safe to say that Xavier should be the 'villain'. You have to look at it from Mag's POV.

well it was the first mutant Xavier battled, and the reason he's crippled.

at least one of the reasons told over the years.

In the X3 novelization it was Callisto who crippled Xavier. Something that wasnt in the film that would have been cool.

I agree Xavier. There has to be a bit of dirt there also.
Perhaps even Emma - maybe a little more Ultimate styled with a tug of philosophies between the three of them.
A little jealousy and for good measure the loss of Mags wife earlier on and maybe even having to loose or abandon his children due to circumstances.

We should definitely see Xavier as the 'villain' in some senses, but of course the ultimate villain of a Magneto movie should be Erik himself, though he does not see himself as such.

Personally I think the movie should focus lesss on the 'nazi' aspect we are seeing and more on his life AFTER that, (though obviously the concentration camps defined him as a character) and were it me, I would end not too far from the start of X1. But that's never going to happen, so I'd say we probably won't see someone else featured as a major villain. Obviously even in this movie there has to be a 'final' showdown and I pray to God it isn't with Nazis!

(Not even him tracking them down years later!)

Well the only people Magneto knew at 17 are the Nazis and he just met Xavier

The movieverse is different from the comic books. You can put any X-Men villain as a Magneto villain, because after all when he was younger he was a friend of Professor X. He might not have had any villains then, but as I said, this is the movieverse, you can make Magneto and someone like Sinister go against each other, as long as it doesn't betray the comics and previous movies much.

As for a villain, I would agree with the Nazi's being villains, but Magneto vs. the Nazis can be rather bland. I would prefer an appearance by Sinister or Shadow King, although the Shadow King would be better for a Prof. X movie.

Sinister could appear, not necessarily as a villain, but the person who manipulates Magneto into believing that mutants will rule the future. With that said, there doesn't really need to be a main villain. This movie could just be used as a story to tell how Magneto ended up hating humans.

Maybe we will get to see Quicksilver, Polaris, or Scarlet Witch??? Have a scuffle with their father and that would explain why we haven't seen them??? I would also love to see Magneto meet Mystique WildCard!
I got somethin to express that can only be expressed in fingers, and I hope I dont get banned for this....

:D:up:

Shadow King would be the most likely, and best choice in my opinion

Shadow King would be good.. except his powers are psychic so it wouldn't make much of a showdown with Magneto - except if Shadow King was mentally manipulating other people to attack Magneto with metal weaponry...

It would also be good to see Sinister or High Evolutionary (without those names) as genetics experts who were studying Magneto's abilities. Magneto must have wondered what on earth was happening to him after he first manifested his powers; he would surely have sought medical/scientific help.

Apocalypse might work too, as another emerging supermutant who wanted to use the Second World War to bring about the end the world.

Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver have to be in there somewhere.

ya but the movie has already been stated upon as practically a "mageneto and xavier" movie... so most likely it's a villain for them to both take on.. and Shadow king is a villain they both have dealt with. esp in there past

I don't know who a potential villain could be . . . Amahl Farouk? I hope everything pans out for this film. I don't expect it to be a blockbuster (nor should it be really), but it could very well be great simply for the fact that it would be a movie revolving around McKellen's Magneto (I hope this is the route they decide to go). Stewart would be an awesome addition as well.

I think Nazis is a given. And perhaps the X-Men. Maybe they could battle Magneto for the first time.

The villians in my opinion should just be humans. No supervillian. This isn't suppose to be an action film, so I don't think we'll see big action sequences.

Exactly. This should be a film that shows why Magneto made the decisions he did, what caused him to become "Magneto". It should be a character study, not an all out action adventure. It should show why Magneto and Xavier, once good friends, took vastly different paths.
