So, I was playing around with URL's, and...

Are the upcoming X-Men spin-off films using ‘Origins’ in their titles? Here’s something very interesting. Type in wolverineorigins.com or magnetoorigins.com and you’ll get directed to 20th Century Fox’s official website!

We’ve found that the studio registered these domain names in June of this year, so we might be looking at the preliminary names for the spin-offs of Wolverine and Magneto!

Really, it might be too early to know if these are the official film titles, but it’s definitely something to chew on.

Origins: Magneto
Magneto: Origins

I'll check with Fox and see if they say anything...

This reminds me of when The Last Stand website popped up way back when.

I can see it working. Using 'Origins' in both titles somewhat connects both films as if they were an entirely new series. The 'Origin' series.

Yeah but I doubt it would be Wolverine Origins, and Magneto Origins. Instead they'll probably go with something like:

X-Men Origins: Wolverine and
X-Men Origins: Magneto

Those sound like direct to dvd titles, lol.

Yeah totally, but these prequel/spin offs are very DTV-esque in nature anyway, so it's only fitting.

Very interesting. Definitely cool working titles, and I could see them using those names to connect the films.

I like the idea of conecting both spin-off, but calling both the same is totally wrong, I suppose.

As long as they stay away from the Wolverine: Origins ongoing series it's fine.
As it's just bad bad bad...
And ok, there's no Magneto Origins comic, but they might....

anyway, using origins for title and connect both project, is quite a clever move i suppose...

I think you may have hit the nail on the head. Marketing wise, that'd be a great title, Odiin

Hmm, 3 part series, it seems.

Wolverine Origins
Magneto Origins
X-men Origins

Sounds interesting...

So Wolverine next year...Magneto the year after...

X-Men Origins 2010?

I was thinking that url would be for the Wolverine and Magneto spin-offs as well, but that'd be great if it was for a third spin-off. We'll find out soon

There is still one or two mystery spin offs that Zac is penning the script for.

The plot thickens..

How come I dont know about this :O

JP tell me everything you know :D

I know that Zak Penn is writing an X-Men spin off. That was announced right after X3 came out. They have just yet to tell us what it is. Some suggested it was a movie focusing on the X-kids. But now I think it might be a prequel of some sort. Hmm.

Hi, electrix, where have you been this weeks? I don't use to see you in the these boards often...

Oh yeah, someone came up with an idea that was different or something. He said it wont be for another few years yet :(

I think it might be a prequel that ends up being a reboot. If that makes sense.

Do you think Zak will do a good job on it? I guess we'll see when Incredible Hulk comes out what his writing is like now. Although it's been said that Edward Norton rewrote the entire Hulk script because the original one was... not good...

Yeah. I have no faith in Zak. At all.
