Magneto helped Prof. X start the school. Which means he was "good" at one point. So what should he do as a hero?

I think a good story would be for Magneto to start in the Nazi camps and to free himself and the others (part of the heroism). Then he would meet up with Charles Xavier and they would be trying to figure out the limits of their own powers and seeing what they could do with them and then they would realize that there are more mutants in the World.

Perhaps Eric and Charles could save another mutant from an angry mob. As the story went on Magneto would see what he and Charles are doing as being more and more pointless and the two would start to part ways.

Yeah, he'd probably free everyone from the concentration camp. Ooh, and then he and Xavier (or just Magneto) could save Toad from that mob, since in the comics Magneto found Toad being beaten by a bunch of humans and rescued him.

I'd like to see this to go through most of his life, from when he was a kid to when he started the Brotherhood. And at the end they could have a big battle between the X-Men and the Brotherhood... like their very first fight. And I don't mean like in the first X-Men movie, when they all sortof paired up with another mutant and only fought that one, I mean like... Cyclops shooting optic blasts at everyone, Mastermind making a bunch of illusions, Toad jumping allover the place... Anyway I'm probably not making any sense so I'm just gonna be quiet.

i think tht would be a good idea. i think magnetos first costumeshuld b lil bit more like the ultimate magneto costume, then as he gets older he starts wearing the current movie costume

..my concern is with fanboy reactionaries raising a fuss over "PC evil nazis" being used in another sci-fi/action film..

I think he's still good. He did say "What have I done" in X3 when he lost his powers.

He just doesn't like humans. Maybe he had a bad experience with them. (That might be what the film is going to be about)

Um, maybe the holocaust? Just a thought. (sorry if i spelled it wrong)

Maybe he found Jason? That might explain a few things . . . and I'd just plain like to see Jason again.

That's not a bad idea, expecially as Mastermind the illusionist was one of the first Brotherhood members. As long as it didn't contradict what happened in X2.

Thank you.
Although I'm not sure if Jason IS Mastermind . . . I seem to remember him being in the comics, but not often. Maybe only once, but I remember.

Mastermind aka Jason Wyngarde was the main inspiration for X2's Jason Stryker with a similar illusion power. They said so on the DVD.

In the comics, Mastermind was one of the original members of Magneto's Brotherhood of Evil Mutants, way back in the original 1960s stories. He returned much later on as the one whose weird illusions were projected into Jean Grey's mind, ultimately sending her over the edge into the insanity of Dark Phoenix.

In the movie, it was explained that Jason had once been a pupil of Xavier, but Xavier was unable to help him.

No, there was a mutant 143 in a wheelchair in one comic . . . although maybe that came from the movie?
