Magnum P.I : The Movie

This is still in developmental hell, but when it was announced in January of 2007, it was reported that Matthew McConaughey will play Magnum, with Steve Zahn as Rick, Tyrese Gibson as T.C., and William H.Macy as Higgins.

Does anyone know the status of this?

well i do agree some times movies of old tv shows havent been great take bewitched for example. But then there has been some that were good in my opinion that is. So i wouldnt mind seeing one made. But yea if there hasnt been any movement in a few yrs its probably just in Developmental hell for awhile.

Since Sahara failed critically and financially, this movie probably got shelved. MacConaughey as become a joke even though i think given the right material he can be great. MacConaughey is one of those people that if you keep him in a certain wheelhouse than he usually performs well-enough. I think Magnum PI could be the role, but Im not gonna be dissapointed if he isnt in it.
