World Maguire or Garfield?

Was watching number two on tv last night and got me thinking who do you think is the best spidey?

I tend to go with Garfield he reminds me on the old animated series.

I think Andrew is the more likable Peter Parker/Spider-Man.

When I see Maguire I don't see Peter Parker, I see Tobey Maguire the famous actor pretending to be a dopey cornball.

I find this to be an insult to geeks and nerds everywhere.

Andrew Garfield blends into the role better and brings a respectable wit and liveliness to the character of Peter Parker.

I like toby but Garfield is better was made to play peter. I would say Garfield is probly the second bester ever to play a super hero behide only RDJ

I will always be impressed with how ripped Tobey got for the role. It was absolutely incredible. Until that famous scene in SM1, I didn't know abs could actually look like that :S

I didn't like his Peter Parker. I found him to be quite dull - he had some good lines though, but I never felt any weight behind them - "sometimes we have to be steady, and give up the thing we want the most."

Garfield adds a depth to his role that Tobey didn't. But I'll never forget Tobey - he was the first, just not the best.

Maguire. He had a lot more depth and nuance, and frankly he was much more likeable as Peter. Garfield's Peter comes off as unpleasant, cocky, arrogant.

Toby is the best by a long way.

Maguire had a bewildered, deer-in-the-headlights expression the entire trilogy when he wasn't crying.

I'll take the Peter Parker with an actual personality over Raimi's zombie dork.
