Yeah, let's look at his accomplishments and proposed accomplishments....like promoting "substantive" discussion on the campaign trail (small hands and so forth) as well as in the debates, race baiting, mass deportations, lowering the corporate tax rate, increases in the military budget which will necessarily lead to the destruction of ISIS, etc. Has anyone ever considered that there is a double edge to raising import tariffs?

Believe me folks. If he wins, you are going to have SO MUCH FUN and you're going to be SO HAPPY because we're going to start WINNING AGAIN. It's just going to be GREAT!

And THAT is what we're now calling "substance".

Vancouver is a nice place to visit, but no thanks I'd like to keep at least 50% of my income and avoid freezing temperatures in the winter.

I'm actually a fan of Bernie in some ways. He's authentic, and for joe average. He's not bought or sold as Hillary is, and he'd never get in bed with the top 1% banks, or take money from foreign interests who dislike the USA as Hillary did.

Sanders > Clinton and Obama.

Gays in the military isn't a major issue. Not even in the top ten for 2016. Hillary Clinton has flipped flopped on gay marriage. She'll do whatever is politically expedient for her. Her's husband's response didn't ask, don't tell.

I know he's said he would like to overturn Obergefell (Marriage Equality decision by the Supreme Court), but he's been all over the place and is ducking questions about it. So much for speaking his mind.

From what I've heard, he speaks in generalities about issues that are controversial (in the sense that the populace is somewhat divided in its views) so how is that different than any other politician?

The bottom line for me (again) is that I really don't know what he'd do. Dismantling Obama Care and privatizing health care is the wrong decision IMO and that's one area where I believe he's telling the truth because it fits his background. I wouldn't mind dismantling Obama Care if there were something better to take it's place.

I think of all the candidates, Bernie Sanders is the most willing to state his views unequivocally. There was a point in the debate when it was pointed out that he agreed with Ted Cruz on a particular issue and he said something like "Guess what? People in the democratic party aren't always right."

Please feel free report me if you feel it is justified. From your posts, it seems clear that your command of the English language is somewhat lacking. Unfortunately (for you if you are intent on reporting me), I didn't say you were racially bigoted (though you might be) and it appears you either have trouble discerning the meaning of my sentence or you just got sloppy and didn't really read what I wrote.

Now, you take back your comment that I accused you of being racially bigoted (at least that's what I understand your sentence to mean....to say that your posts are sometimes difficult to translate is an understatement), or I reserve the right to report you for bad behavior.

By the way, equality in all forms may not be in YOUR top 10, but it certainly is in mine. Just because some poll says that a particular issue may or may not be in the top 10 or 20 or whatever, doesn't mean that it's okay for a candidate to duck addressing it. If you READ CAREFULLY (Try it. You'll like it), you'll note that I said "I'd be interested to see what he has to say about" gays in the military and didn't say he feels one way or the other. If I had a chance, I'd certainly ask him and I'm guessing I'd get the "I've talked about this hundreds of times, made my position very clear, and everybody knows my position on it; so sit down so I can answer some other questions."

EDIT: Oh yes, the temperature in Victoria in the winter is actually pretty nice. Sure it's a little bit cold, but, hey, it's called winter. It's nothing like most of the US.

I always let people know I'm from the US. I also let them know I think our political structure stinks and is inherently anti-democratic. Oh well, we play with the cards we are dealt. I drink, tell stupid jokes, laugh, and everyone seems to get along fine.

I get to keep about 60% of my income, pay outrageous property taxes, have to buy health care, pay for public higher education, etc.

It's great being murican....

The fact of the matter is that I don't mind paying taxes if I get something out of it. Health care with a low administrative overhead (as opposed to the overhead we have now) would be a boon to people in this country.

Edit: As would safe roads, bridges, a kick-@$$ communications infrastructure, a bigger commitment to renewable energy research (research in general), better schools, etc.
