Making Costumes?

making a comedian costume for next halloween. it was my gf's idea, she wants to be silk spectre II. that's going to be a fun night

I have just had one of the best days of my life.
I went along to the World Premiere of Watchmen in Liecester Square London U.K.
I took the costume I thought it would be a good laugh. Might get a few nods from the cast and crew.
Boy was I wrong!

What a nice guy! really. He looked up from signing autographs and this massive grin just breaks out, "Hey bro! there you are!, aww come here bro give me a hug. I know what you been through". And proceeded to give me a big hug. He quickly asked me how I got on with wearing the mask, I said I was about to ask him the same thing.
Also got an "Oh you look awesome there" from Patrick Wilson, and a "This is good" from Zach Snyder.
To top it all off they end up givinging me a ticket to get in!!!
So with 5 mins to spare I have to wip off the mask dash over the barrier and up the Yellow (not red) carpet and into the premiere.
I'm sitting in the cinema seeing the film introduced by Zach Snyder and the cast and I'm thinking "Am I really frikkin' here!"

The film was great! better than what I was expecting.
I'm completely worn out but smiling like a god damned badge!

this is the stuff legends are made of

So is it safe to make a Roschach mask with sharpy? Like, does it dry? Because when I put it on I got a whiff you wouldn't believe.

hey everyone just got done reading through the thread and figured i might try and throw something together before halloween. im gonna start with the mask and plan on using a t-shirt, i think i can get the ink on ok but how do i turn the shirt into a mask?

i hate to quote my self but i think this was lost due to mr.dont-dress-up-as-rorchach

are you ironing on a shirt?
if so...i cut out my rorschach into a head shaped cone...put two tiny holes in the nose area...turn the shirt upside down
http://img16.imageshack.us/my.php?image=upsidezs3.jpg
and place it like that...get a pillow case and put it under the shirt...press down hard and keep moving around the edges and what not...thats how i did it...of course with my mask i had to tie a knot in the back to keep it tight

Tada!

I whipped this together real quick, let me know what you think.

I think quoting it right would help greatly too.

Back on topic thought ,. i just had the biggest brain fart. It came to me that mot likely...people will like this movie...so that means, a bunch of rorschach's running around on halloween. I say, screw that, im going as Kovacs. Im dyin my hair red. i have a pretty good idea where i can get his clothes, and making th sign shouldnt be too hard

Luckily, I was Rorschach last Halloween. People that knew what I was loved it, claiming it was perfect. The rest, thought it was cool but had no idea what I was. I was Wolverine the night before and I still had people have no idea what I was, even with the claws.

You guys may want to see this. Some guy made a rorschach mask using heat sensitive paint, that gives the affect that the ink blots actually shift

How about reading the actual book? It's literally in the third panel of the very first page in the entirety of the 12 part comic :whatever:

The accumulated filth of all their sex and murder will foam up about their waists and all the ****es and politicians will look up and shout "save us!"...and I'll look down and whisper "no."

I actually like his Nite Owl II outfit! If anything, it's that Rorschach I'm laughing at. Perhaps he should've been Nite Owl instead :hehe:
