Making Costumes?

I whiped this up for "dress as you favorite hero day" for school
I plan on making a way better on when I get the prinatable iron on sheets

hey i was wondering if anyone had the x eyes ink blot from when rorschach torches the swat team

How about reading the actual book? It's literally in the third panel of the very first page in the entirety of the 12 part comic :whatever:

I did read the book, but to save time, i copied and pasted from imdb it was a quick thing, i plan to do a new better one when I have th costume done correctly.

No offence, bro, but thats one of the worst costumes I've ever seen. And I've seen some pretty bad ones.

Hahah, you're still kind of being a dick about it bro, but that's alright, I know it's not that great. I put it together around 8 o'clock the night of the premiere, I wasn't exactly trying to be screen accurate. If anything it was loosely based on the comic book rather than the movie (I just wanted to use a Batman mask). I couldn't get a big enough piece of cardboard to cover more of my head like his thing does. Also the blue spandex was all I had at the time...

If it helps we got a standing ovation when we walked in the theater and people wanted to take pictures with us all night...Oh wellz.

And Ryo, I don't really get why my friend should've been Nite Owl. Thanks for liking my costume though.

His "physical features" seemed they would've fit Nite Owl better than Rorschach is all.

Well, at least you read it

Like i said, no offence. It's cool that you dressed up and all....but it's just...bad looking. Still alright for a 5 minute job though.

Ok, I just reported it to ebay. If any of you want to help me out I would really appreciate it. Just click the "report this item" link at the bottom of the listing. If this guy gets multiple violation reports it will be removed more quickly. Thanks for letting me know about this Notso.

I have just had one of the best days of my life.
I went along to the World Premiere of Watchmen in Liecester Square London U.K.
I took the costume I thought it would be a good laugh. Might get a few nods from the cast and crew.
Boy was I wrong!

What a nice guy! really. He looked up from signing autographs and this massive grin just breaks out, "Hey bro! there you are!, aww come here bro give me a hug. I know what you been through". And proceeded to give me a big hug. He quickly asked me how I got on with wearing the mask, I said I was about to ask him the same thing.
Also got an "Oh you look awesome there" from Patrick Wilson, and a "This is good" from Zach Snyder.
To top it all off they end up givinging me a ticket to get in!!!
So with 5 mins to spare I have to wip off the mask dash over the barrier and up the Yellow (not red) carpet and into the premiere.
I'm sitting in the cinema seeing the film introduced by Zach Snyder and the cast and I'm thinking "Am I really frikkin' here!"

The film was great! better than what I was expecting.
I'm completely worn out but smiling like a god damned badge!

NoTsO....

You are the COOLEST PERSON EVER.

I am wholly jealous! ;)

Does anyone have a tutorial for making a decent (not baggy, noy full of creases) Roschach mask? along with the best wat to add the pattern?

Don't mention it Soulinertia. I can't abide stuff like that. After all "People must be told the truth!".

Thanks Lemony. One day out of 365 ain't bad.

Damnit! Why does this keep happening to me! :cmad: I even put watermarks on these!

Sadly you need to put the watermark over the whole image.. when you put it in a corner, and especially on your black shirt, its to easy to take off.

Sucks!

Put this together in a few days. I wish it could be better but I like it.

Any of you have advice on a Walter Kovacs, movie version, costume. Obviously to hit up Good will, but as far as weathering, wear-and-tear, make-up techniques, the sign, or the style of coat?

Also high res are much appreciated!

Not exactly a costume, but I figured I'd post it here. I got an authentic M-65 U.S. Army Field Jacket appropriate for the time, and managed to snag the patch that was handed out to the crew of the film. A little help with ironing from my awesome gf, and we have this:

Jacket, looks like a herringbone weave kahki or sand brown.
pale green shirt dark green tie.
Trousers, probably same as jacket.
Green woollen fingerless gloves.
Short ginger wig (if your not using your own hair) that can be styled.
Freckles, with make up if you don't have your own (I was covered in the bloomin things when I was a kid now they're pretty much gone).
Stubble, your own or make up if not able.
Boots appear to be the same as worn when Rorschach. Chelsea boots with a squarer toe.

Rorshach is this year's Joker. I dread Halloween since there's going to be a thousand people at a party dress like Rorshach thinking they're being "original".

But like Joker, they'll only be a handful of good ones. And those will be the true fans.
