Haha yeah now you have me dreaming of Toni as the Joker if she gave some of that theatrical energy she had in Velvet Goldmine. On that note, Johnathan Rhys Meyers might have made a good Joker if he hadn’t flushed his life and career down the toilet.

I don’t know if this means anything but Bautista expressed disappointment in an interview that he (apparently) hasn’t gotten a call from Gunn or Safran about a DCU role. It seems crazy to me after that cryptic post he made after Gunn got the DC job and also because I can’t think of a better actor to play Mongul eventually. Unless he doesn’t want to of course (but hell… he’s starring in Highlander so his standards aren’t that high). I know people have also talked about him for Brainiac and I can kinda see it but Mongul just feels too perfect for him. Strange if Gunn hasn’t talked to him about a role but I guess we’ll see, especially since Gunn just talked about how originally he wanted Dave for Peacemaker.

Feels kinda on the nose but Hamish Linklater is so good as the cold and analytical dean in Gen V that now I’m picturing him as Brainiac.

I recently watched the Caravan of Garbage episode on Van Helsing and I was reminded why I never want to see Richard Roxburgh in anything ever again lol

I’m convinced someone ghost directed the original Mummy movie and then they slapped Stephen Sommers’ name on it. That movie is way too enjoyable to have been helmed by the doofus who gave us GI Joe, Van Helsing, and Odd Thomas. What a filmography.

I think I would go for a slightly younger Metallo. My top pick for him is still Harris Dickinson.
