Apparently they closed 5 schools out of fear the kids would be mauled.

I guessed correctly. It was all over the radio today. I assumed he let them go and killed himself since they didn't mention anything about him being murdered by anyone or anything.

I heard the zookeeper just came from the jail, before he opened the zoo's doors to let those animals out, then committed suicide. Clearly he wanted to go out with a bang, so to speak, but only an awful person would endanger other innocent people by this reckless act.

I'm sorry he's dead, but what a *****e. Seeing a therapist would have been much more productive than killing yourself, but not before releasing wild animals that would endanger the local community, cause panic and leave the police with no option but to shoot them to prevent them from mauling people to death.

So now the humane society is going after the owners of exotic animals , placing the blame on them but a person can be dangerous regardless of what's at their disposal.

It really is a shame that the larger majority of these animals were shot and killed. I am glad that Jack Hanna was involved though.
